The Coach House is ideal for couples looking to get away from it all with its unique modern style coupled with traditional charm. Only a stone's throw from the harbour at Porlock Weir, The Coach House is a fabulous base for walking, sightseeing and relaxing holidays. The Coach House is comprised of a light and airy double bedroom with king-sized bed and adjoining bathroom upstairs. Downstairs is a large open-plan living room and dining area with a stone flagged floor and adjacent spacious kitchen. From the kitchen window you can take in the wonderful view of the Bristol Channel across to Porlock Bay.

Fantastic

Fantastic place to stay...it was clean, spacious and had great sea views. Within a short walk was the sea and places to eat and drink. We would return. Perfect getaway.

Lovely cottage with beautiful views and everything you need from a cottage for a weeks holiday. Everything as described on the website. Very peaceful location. Lots of walks to explore from the front door but also ideally situated for day trips out to explore Exmoor. Local pub (The Ship) only five mins walk if you don't fancy cooking. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week away.

The harbour is the 'centre' of Porlock Weir, which is less than 1/4 mile from The Coach House. There are two restaurants (The Cafe and Miller's at the Anchor), a pub (all three are dog-friendly) and a range of individual shops such as tea rooms, Exmoor Glass, etc.

The village of Porlock is approximately 1.5 miles from The Coach House and boasts three pubs, two grocery shops, a traditional local butcher, chemist, cash machine, hardware shop, visitor centre and a range of independent restaurants, shops and tea rooms.

Many of the shops in Porlock Weir and Porlock are open during traditional hours of 9 am to 5 pm, although hours are often extended during the summer season. Conversely, some shops also reduce their opening hours out of season.

Minehead is the nearest town, approximately 7 miles from The Coach House. Here you will find the larger supermarkets and petrol stations (Tesco and Morrison's are both situated on the outskirts of the town and have longer opening hours), most major high street banks with cash machines, plus a range of other shops throughout the town.
