This stunning apartment is located in the beautiful El Born district of Barcelona’s Historic Centre. It is a 5 minute walk from the Cathedral, 5 minutes from the beautiful palm-fringed marina, 10 minutes from the Ramblas, and is situated immediately behind the Picasso Museum. The apartment has a floor area of 90m2 and provides real home from home comfort and every luxury to make your holiday accommodation extra special. It is spacious with open plan areas in the living room & kitchen/dining room. It has high vaulted ceilings with exposed wooden beams and French windows leading out onto little wrought iron balconies. It has A/C, WIFI tel., CH, a home cinema system, IPOD sound dock, breakfast bar, and a split level bathroom with separate walk in shower. It even has a secret door! The entire area surrounding the apartment building is encased in enchanting tiny medieval interconnecting streets and alleyways. Bustling with life, these little streets house cafés, speciality food shops, small commercial and public galleries, design boutiques and a wide selection of excellent restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets. The area was recently described by Arthur Lubow in The New York Times as “having the energy of New York’s Lower East Side”.

    Once-only final cleaning fee of 50.00 Euros
    Refundable damage deposit of 150.00 Euros (refunded to you on the morning of departure on return of the apartment and contents in good condition.
    All our prices are tax inclusive. There are no further costs other than those given here.

What an amazing place

we had an amazing trip to Barcelona staying in the best apartment. We selected the apartment based on the description and reviews and everything exceeded expectation. Kay made booking and pre holiday planning very easy and we were armed with lots of helpful info. The apartment is clean and comfortable with all mod cons and has the bonus of being in the very best area in Barcelona.
From the apartment it is possible to walk everywhere from Gaudis cathedral to the zoo for the kids. The Picasso museum is just round the corner and lunch at the marina is a nice treat. The shops are great and there are loads of fantastic places to eat. In fact the only thing I can't comment on is the cooker as I didn't use it once!!
This apartment is definitely to be recommended and I hope we will get the opportunity to visit again soon.

Very Happy with our Choice!

We were very happy staying at this apartment. As a previous review said, everything was just as the description & photos showed and more. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. The location is fantastic; in the middle of everything but is very quiet and relaxing. Beds were very comfortable. Kay was extremely friendly and helpful; the reservation process, check-in & check- out were all very convenient. Would definitely recommend this apartment and would be happy to have the chance to stay here again in the future.

Absolutely Fabulous

My daughter, sister and I stayed in the apartment for five nights in February 2012. It was every bit as nice as the photos look - with comfortable furnishings and beds. The owner, Kay, is even nicer than the reviews say - she makes you instantly comfortable and is even mailing me back the glasses i so stupidly forgot.

This district of Barcelona is for the city lover who wishes to feel like a local and really explore the hidden treasures that El Borne has to offer. Shops, restaurants, bars, boutiques are all over - make sure to take a different way back every time you venture out. Don't miss the Hofmann Bakery and the Tapeo and Cal Pep restaurants. Don't miss any of it - what a wonderful time we had. A great way to get a feel for the city, and feel sorry for those tourists up in Eixample!

The Hoffman Bakery in itself is just wonderful. It won first prize last year for producing the best croissant in Spain, which I may already have mentioned to you but I don't know whether I mentioned that the owner also has a restaurant with a Michelin star and a cookery school of the same name in the area too.

perfect place to stay

This apartment is sensational - location, facilities, host, comfort, space...I really can't think of anything that could make it better. We (only) spent 3 nights in Barcelona and so wish we could have stayed longer. Kay is the consummate host - her local area map with recommendations was our bible during our visit and she didn't let us down! The area with its little laneways has some of the most incredible shops (clothes, jewellery, shoes, art) I have ever come across. And as for the restaurant choices - you don't have to venture far to enjoy wonderful diverse food offerings. I would add to Kay's recommendations though, and suggest a visit to La Tinaja (Calle de la Espartería) - the food was authentic and service fantastic. The next time I am lucky enough to visit Barcelona, I will be staying in this apartment without hesitation.

Great Flat, Area and Host

We looked at dozens of flats on the internet for a week's stay with our 2 teenage daughters. We chose this one becuase of the great reviews and it didn't disappoint. Kay's help was above and beyond and she provided lots of lovely little extras which allowed us to settle in really quickly - the maps and guides to local shops etc. go a long way towards helping you feel like part of the neighbourhood quickly. Great recommendations for croissants, grocery, restaurants, etc.

Loved the flat with the super comfortable beds, and the nice TV/music/DVDs/CDs and the neighbourhood. We found the warren of little alleys and steeets so mesmerising, and the Born area itself was fantastic - a great juxtaposition of old buildings with the most amazing trendy shops, bars, restaurants and spaces - and always the most interesting flow of people to provide some great people watching! So easy to get to the main sights, and the beach - but our favourite area of the city would have to be right there in the Born.

We'd definately recommend it most highly, and hope to come again soon.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
