Great Diving week in Montserrat

We had a great time on Montserrat and the Villa Tropicasa met all of our needs. As divers we chose Montserrat as a dive destination due to the fact that the reefs haven’t had hundreds of divers a day on them, actually we were the only 4 divers on the island all week! The Villa met our needs for having two separate bedrooms and baths. All of the pictures were very accurate, and the Villa was well maintained. Other reviews mentioned aging appliances; we were please to see a brand new refrigerator and dishwasher. The owner (Ken) went out of his way to make sure all of our needs were met. On arriving on the island, we were met by Winston who drove us from the airport to the villa, on the way he stopped at the police station so we could get out temporary drivers licenses ($20 US), the police station was closed, and so he brought us to the Villa to unload. Ken arrived soon after and took us in the rental Rav 4 (that waiting for us at the villa) back to the police station to get our licenses. On the second day phone service from the land-line phone went out, Ken provided us with a cell phone for the remainder of the week, even though phone service was restored the next day. Also, the coffee maker died, and Ken had a new one in place before the next morning. The pool was great to take a drip in after morning dives. The villa had all of the comforts of home. The only upgrade needed is a new bed in the master bedroom, mattress had seen better days. I would highly recommend this property to anyone travelling to the island. The price for the villa and rental were the lowest we have ever spent for a week of diving.
Owner's Response: I am proud of the 5 star review rating David has awarded Villa Tropicasa and his Montserrat experience! Also, I have noted his comments about upgrading the master bedroom mattress and I'm now shopping for new one which will be in place before our next scheduled guests arrive. Our guests expect the best in comfort and we will always strive to give them just that!
