needs some work
Rented this home week of May 21, 2011. Owner said that there was elevator in home that we could use and I need one because of arthritic knees, am not suppose to use stairs. When we arrived, we were told that the elevator was broken, and would not be fixed while we were there. Tried to call owner, but he didn't return my call. We stayed all week, without the use of an elevator which was the SOLE reason we rented this home. The owner knew this. The house had dust covering the furniture most of the furniture had dirt under it. The dishwasher was full of dishes, there were candy bar wrappers, and a man's shirt under one of the beds, commodes and showers needed cleaning. A lot of money to pay for a home that we had to clean, and a broken elevator.
Owner's Response: An appointment with an elevator repair service was made as soon as I was notified the elevator wasn't operating properly. When I found out they could not service the elevator for a week due to workload I had an electrician come to the house to look at the elevator. He said everything was working properly. When I came to the house the day after the customer left the elevator WAS WORKING when all the doors were closed properly. The property management company said they had sent their cleaner before the client arrived. The house has all new hardwood flooring and furniture and is absolutely beautiful . Feel the client was disappointed that they could not firgure out how to operate the elevator which normally is only for owners use and said they could use it as a courtesy.
