This is one of the finest 1 bedroom condos in the village of Snowshoe. Enjoy the convenience of taking the elevator to the slopes and having your own ski locker adjoining the hearth room. At the end of the day, relax on one of the largest decks overlooking the village. Condo has a full equipped kitchen for dining in, or walk to the many restaurants in the village. Beautiful furnishings with custom wood trim and copper accents throughout the unit. All bedding is upgraded above Snowshoe specs for a comfortable night sleep, and lighting has been upgraded. Some other features include high speed Internet, DVD player, gas fireplace, humidifier... Highland House has laundry facilities, outdoor hot-tub, and exercise room. Split Rock pools is a 2 minute walk through the village. Recent upgrades include a flat screen tv in bedroom, pottery barn lighting and new berber carpeting. Truly one of the best 'gold' rated properties.
Check-In time is after 5:00pm on the day of arrival and checkout time is 11:00 am on the day of departure. Fees are inclusive of cleaning upon departures for all parties. Housekeeping also provides linens, towels, paper towels and dish washing liquids. 12% West Virginia tax is added to all rental totals. Renting directly from us saves 15% - 25% of standard Snowshoe rates as we are passing on the management fee savings to you. However, the greatest plus is the superior accomodations to most on Snowshoe's rental program.
Non-refundable rental deposit of 25% is due along with rental application upon booking. Balance is due 30 days prior to arrival and is non-refundable.
Spent a wonderful three day weekend in the off, off season at this condo. It was just the two of us and it was perfect. The mountain was a ghost town and there was only one restaurant opened, Foxfire Bar and Grille, which was perfect, as it was literally steps from the condo. The hot tub was great and is a few short steps from the unit. We did a lot of cooking and had everything we needed right there. Check in was super quick and easy and the condo itself was very clean and well maintained. The owner was super to deal with, a real delight. We will be back!
My wife and i just celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary and we booked this romantic condo for 3 nights. It was mid October and therefore off season for the Snowshoe Resort, but the condo is located right in the heart of the village and Starbucks and FoxFire Grille were both open and about 25 steps away. The country side was beautiful and the resort was so peaceful. And the off season rates cannot be beat!
We also spent some time at Cass Railroad, which is very close by and a great little town named Marlinton is very close as well.
BEST OF ALL was the condo itself. PERFECT. The fireplace was great, the deck was great, the kitchen was wonderful, and the bed was super comfortable.
We loved it and will stay there again if the opportunity ever arrises!
This condo is what a resort vacation is all about! Centrally-located overlooking the main outdoor village area AND the western horizon. Everything you need is within a very short walk: slopes, rentals, retail shops, restaurants, etc. The large deck is a great place to sit and be part of the village atmosphere. Don't miss the sunsets. The condo is spacious and the kitchen is fully equipped. The dining area is not crammed. The living room is nice and the bedroom and bed are very comfortable! ***15 minute parking is available right next to the Highland House underground entry - unload your car, 15 steps to the door, down the hall and up the elevator. Doesn't get much easier, especially in unfavorable weather. Don't forget the hot tubs just down the hall from the room. Wifi availability and instructions to get connected are exceptional. The place is clean, modern (not worn out) and the pictures shown present the place well and accurately. The owner is very accommodating. This is my first choice for a rental for two (and feasibly four) at Snowshoe. Unless I book well in advance, I'll be lucky to be able to stay here in the winter season. I'll change my summer visit dates so that I can stay here. This picky/critical renter strongly recommends 222 Highland House.
A great central location to everything. The only downfall was the fireplace wasn't working. It appears it has been having problems for a period of time. A big disappointment as my husband and I were looking forward to a romantic fire with a bottle of wine. :( Wish we had been informed of this before our booking. Owner stated they would try to get fixed but help never arrived over our 3 day visit. Bummer! Otherwise, nice condo with overlooking deck. Hot tubs overcrowded with too many people who sit in for long periods of time.
We have stayed in this room for the past two years. We have have felt it was easy access to the slopes, fits 4 perfectly and is nice to have a kitchen so all meals don't have to be eaten out. We love the location to the stores and the restaurants, you can't be in a better location! The owners are super nice to work with and we plan to rent again soon!
This was a wonderful anniversary getaway condo during the Summer. Very welcoming, comfy and clean. We felt like we had the mountain to ourselves and coming home every night to this place made it a great experience. Sitting out on the spacious patio overlooking the Village and mountain views was relaxing. We even were able to use the gas-log fireplace at night. We cooked alot of our meals at the condo and found everything we needed. My husband I would certainly recommend this nice place in the Summer or Winter. It's covenient to everything the mountain has to offer.
Highland House is located in the heart of Snowshoe Village and on the slopes for direct access during winter skiing. There are numerous activities in summer and winter, with a lake for fishing and Cass Railroad only 30 minutes away. % restaurants located in the village along with Starbucks. Snowshoe offers shuttle buses (every 15 minutes) to Silver Creek ski area and snow tubing location. Park your car when you get here as you will not need it unless you plan to make a trip to Cass or go antiquing in Marlinton or one of the surrounding towns.
