Special Notes: Water depth varies from 5 feet at the seawall to 12 feet at the end of the docks to about 20 feet in the middle of the old river channel. Sandy swimming areas are readily accessible by boat on Lake Shafer and by both boat and automobile at the famous Indiana Beach Amusement Park, which maintains a designated beach and water park about two mile from BayView Cottage.
Access from BayView Cottage docks to Lake Shafer is under the Monon Bay bridge about 1/8th mile from the cottage. **NEW MONON BAY BRIDGE so no worries about your boats fitting under it when going between the Bay and Lake Shafer. :) YAY!!
The Bay is designated all a no wake zone.
