The property is new, it has swimming pool (13 m long) and it is located on a 7 ha large olive grove: It has a charming hillside situation, on the top of Galatas. The location offers a breathtaking panorama over the island of Poros and the Aegean. This region is apart from the mass tourism, it offers ideal possibilities for a relaxing vacation and it has many natural and cultural attractions. The 4 bright, lovely arranged apartments have a surface of 35 to 80 m² and they consist of: bedroom, dining and living room with kitchenette, bathroom with shower and WC, balcony and terrace with sea view. In the apartments 2 up to maximum 5 people have a place to sleep, and there are separate entrances. The house is 600 m away from the fishermen port, which can be reached on foot in 15 minutes and by car in 3 minutes. If you want to go to the island Poros, there is a regular connection by boat (every 10 minutes, 70 cents). In Galatas or Poros you can rent cars, motor scooters or bikes.

Trips: Galatas is the starting point for day trips to Methana (sulphur bath), Epidavros (the antique theatre and Hypokration), the picturesque city Nafplion (the first capital of Greece), the medieval castles and other places of interest, the city of Argos, the antique Mycenae, Corinth with its antique towns and the channel which connects the Aegean with the Ionic Sea. Besides, you can visit the historical Mistras, surrounded by a charming landscape, Sparta, the Castle of Monemvasia, the antique cities of Olympia and Navarinon (Pylos), which are unique. Not far away from Galata there are the island of Aegina, Ydra and Spetses. Cycladen can be reached by charter ship.

The apartment Iris is on the upper floor of the main house. It has a surface of 48 m². In the gallery, there is place where 2 - 4 people can sleep. The light-flooded, lovely arranged apartment consist of a bedroom with double bed, comfortable living/dining room with completely equipped kitchenette, gallery with 2 single beds, bathroom with shower/WC, air conditioning and a approx. 20 m² balcony with awning and a dream-like view over the sea and the island of Poros. All the windows and the balcony doors have protection against insects.

We did our best to house and property, especially intended as our retirement home, to make for the enjoyment of peace and quiet.

The fate wanted us not to enjoy this alone, so we invite you to enjoy the house and the landscape with us!

The 4 bright, lovingly decorated apartments with a floor space from 40 to 80 square meters, consisting of bedroom, dining and living room with kitchenette, bathroom with shower and toilet, balcony or terrace all overlooking the sea and the island of Poros. The apartments sleeps 2 to max. 5 people have separate entrances.

The house is about 600 m (straight line) from the fishing port, 15 minutes away on foot and in 3 minutes reachable by car. To the island of Poros is a regular connection by boat every 10 minutes. In Galatas there is possbility for renting a Car and on Poros scooter or bicycle.

A number of excursions and visits, they can compete on your mood, always in conjunction with relaxing hours in Moewenblick-Seagullsview, make it a memorable and unique holiday!

Superb location and excellent hosts

A perfect place to spend your holiday!!!! We spent 7 days here and had an absolute fabulous time. Haris and Helga were the most friendly hosts. Haris' help was invaluable in organizing our time. He had many useful tips on how we should spend our vacation or where to eat. On top of everything, Haris took care of our car trouble. The car we rented in Athens died as soon as we arrived in Galatas. He called the company right away and made sure that we had a replacement in 24 hours.
Haris and Helga have a beautiful property on the top of a hill with many Mediterranean trees, shrubs, and flowers. We couldn't stop admiring their skills in taking care of their garden. They have a pool with refreshingly cool water and gorgeous view of the island of Poros. Our apartment (Iris) was clean and very comfortable. And the view from the terrace (and the bedroom) was breathtaking!! By looking at adorable Poros, the bay, and the Methana Peninsula at various times of the day, we were convinced that this was a place for the Gods.

A lovely spot with stunning views over Galatas and across to Poros Island. The swimming pool has one of the best views I have ever seen and it is so clean that the swallows skim over the water to drink, as you swim by.
We have stayed twice and the appartment is spotless, with good airconditioning (essential in July and August) and plenty of shaded places to enjoy the quiet flower filled gardens.
A car is needed to drive the steep road up, but you can walk down into Galatas through the olive grove and quiet roads. The owners are helpful and knowledgeable and treat guests as genuine friends. We will be back!

A wonderful place and friendly welcoming hosts

This is a wonderful place to stay! The owners, who live in the main house, are friendly and helpful and speak good English. They directed us (2 adults plus children aged 6, 7 & 10) to places to visit locally that we wouldn't have found without their help - eg. a volcano, clean beaches in wonderful settings, the local patisserie. The apartment is clean, well-equipped and spacious. There is a shady terrace outside from where you can admire the garden and olive grove. From the terrace by the pool there are fantastic views across the water to Poros and the mountains beyond. The pool is great for all the family - large enough for adults to swim in, and fun for the children as well.
This area is off the main tourist routes and has a relaxed feeling to it. We had meals out in Galatas and Poros, both of which were authentic Greek food, not specifically geared to tourists. We enjoyed a trip to Epidavros, a day on Poros, a trek up the local volcano, and lots of time relaxing in the pool. There are plenty more places to visit, but we were only here for 4 days.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment.

We spent fantastic 7 days of July 2008 with incredible atmosphere in a high-class property with spectacular view. Sunrises and sunsets, the lights of Poros and flying seagulls- that are a pictures in our minds forever. Helga and Harris - thank you very much. You are the best. .
