Welcome at Vila Poem Boem!
In 1927, one of the most famous and talented Romanian architects, Toma Socolescu, built a house as a gift for his beloved wife. He built this house in the name of love, inspired by the genuine Romanian architectural style, a wonderful place named now Villa Poem Boem. We redecorated the property (that suffered massive damages during communism time) and gave back its style and spirit of the period.
The Villa stands at the entrance of Cumpatu, residential area of Sinaia, opposite the Peles Castle domain – former summer residence of the Romanian Royal Family. Outside, you will enjoy the refreshing air of this lovely mountain resort and the peacefully garden with spring water, inside you will feel the warm spirit of romanticism, preserved by the beautiful deco details, antiques and exquisite chandeliers.
The spacious dining and living rooms, the romantic bedrooms and the unique sales du bain, make our guests feel really welcomed and extraordinary well treated. Modern appliances along with carefully selected beds, linen, towels, and cutleries are consistent with the very exclusive travel experience you will enjoy.
Great selection of music, the fireplace, the candle lights, the massage (by appointment – the villa is equipped with a massage bed) or the sauna will make your stay a truly unforgettable one.
Sinaia offers plenty of opportunities throughout the year: skiing or sledging, during winter season, hiking, mountain biking or just relaxing walks throughout the rest of the seasons. Not to be missed is the superb European “ Indian Summer” reflecting countless number of red, yellow and amber nuances in the tree leaves.
Luckily, Villa Poem Boem is located close to one of the most important attractions of the resort: Peles Castle, The Orthodox Monks Monastery and the memorial house of George Enescu, the greatest Romanian composer. Less than one hour drive through the wonderful Carpathian Mountains will take you to the border of Transylvania, at Dracula’s Castle in Bran. And Sinaia is also near the medieval fortress of Rasnov or the beautiful city of Brasov, where you will find unique medieval buildings and the famous Black Church.
Just tell us about your expectations and we will be more than happy to tell you more about what you can do to have a perfect stay in Romania.

About Ioana and Marius Enache
Ioana and I together with our children Sara and Luca are unhealed dreamers. We live our dreams and share them happily with our friends and guests, following our family's strapline 'We love to share things we love!'. Sinaia, known as 'The Pearl of Carpathians' is a place one cannot forget as it was not accidentally chosen by the former Royal family of Romania for building their summer residence, The Peles Castle and is not accidentally chosen by most of the mountain lovers to spend their weekends or holidays despite so many other offers Romania has. Come and see it for yourself! We are here to share, help and advise.
Ioana and Marius Enache purchased this villa in 2006
Why Ioana and Marius Enache chose Transylvania
I was born in Sinaia and spent most of my wonderful childhood holidays in my grandparents house which we were forced to abandon during the communist regime. I kept a deep desire ever-since of gaining it back. It didn't happen but one day. in 2006 we were offered the chance to buy this lovely property. Without hesitating we bought it and renovated it with love and care in the period style
What makes this villa unique
Spending our weekends and holidays in Sinaia is the nicest part of our life now and every time we leave we have the same powerful feeling of wanting to return very soon. It happens as well with all our guests and this is already certain: You come, you get in love with it! The surroundings, the fresh mountain air, the winter sports, the hiking, the cultural walks & the unique architecture of this fantastic town, the attention to details in all decorations ,the spirit of love this house was built in, the fireplace, the sauna, the tasty mornings coffee, the good music, the herbs garden in summer, the spring water, the stars watching from the back yard in warm evenings...so much to enjoy, you owe it to yourself!
