The Tenuta Poggio al Sole lies peacefully amongst its own vineyards and olive groves around 4km from the little town of Vinci. Here you can find peace and relaxation in elegant and tasteful surroundings. The owners have restored the old farmhouse of the vinery with much attention to detail and transformed it into comfortable modern apartments which still retain the original features such as the beamed ceilings. The house stands amongst wild cherry and nut trees. There is a lovely swimming pool (14 x 7m) with sun loungers and parasols. Parking at the house. Shops and restaurants in Vinci.

Vinci, whose famous son Leonardo da Vinci is far more well known than the town itself, lies approx. 10 km north of Empoli in the hills before Monte Albano (630m). The “Museo Leonardino” has been installed in 3 floors of the restored castle of the Conte Guidi in the centre of the town. The gentle hills of Vinci are covered with well tended vineyards and olive groves. From here you can enjoy sweeping views across the Arno Valley. Via the Superstrada Firenze-Pisa-Livorno (shortened to FI-PI-LI) which lies only 11km from Vinci you have good travel connections in all directions: Florence lies 40km to the east, Pisa 55km west, Siena 60km south and to the north through the winding Monte Albano you reach Pistoia (23km) and Lucca (45km).

Notes: The apartment has a modern kitchenette (Stove with 4 gas-rings and electric oven) and bathrooms and are well equipped and furnished in the Tuscan style with comfortable furnishings. All have heating and a seating area in the garden. Stairs lead in the inside of the building to the first floor. The apartments in the first floor have beamed ceilings.
