OCEAN CLUB WEST, GRACE BAY,NO CAR NEEDED, SPECIALS THRU AUGUST

We did not have a vacation in so long it was really good to get away. Our friends were in Provo a few years ago and stayed at Ocean Club West. We needed a large place for the four of us and they told us of the Plaza, that was just being built, right on the site. We checked it out we were pleased by the rates for such a location right in Grace Bay. We got a "last minute" deal on the air fare and needed to book on very short notice. We contacted Jim and Bunny the owners and they could not have been more helpful. We had not used Home Away before and they explained it all to us.
We were met at the airport by Stacy, one of the property managers and driven to the plaza. On the way she pointed out some of the sites and restaurants and the IGA grocery that were all nearby. She showed how everything worked and showed us the tennis courts, pool and beach. The condo was very clean and only a few years old. We loved the new private baths in each bedroom and the half bath in the living room. We used the washer and dryer as we like to travel light.
We were glad that we did not rent a car as we really did not need it in this location. We were also glad to have a great kitchen and the BBQ by the pool. The IGA had prime steaks and Caribbean lobster for the grill. We ate breakfasts in the condo and a few lunches there too. We really enjoyed the Sea Side cafe right by the beach and the prices were affordable. There is a free shuttle to Ocean Club East where we had a few meals that were reasonably priced. We ate at Caicos Cafe, right across the street and it was fabulous. A little pricey, but we went back twice. You can probably tell that we love good food. We did rent a car for a day to see the island and it was less than $50.00. We had a really good lunch at the fameous Conch Shack.
The beach was awsome. The most beautiful sand and calm water we ever saw, it just cannot be described in words. We loved the pool and we booked two excursions at the dive shop. The snorkeling was better than Hawaii and some of the people said that they saw whales right off Grace Bay. The staff at the resort desk were friendly and helpful and remembered us by name. They put out coffee early and there is a business center right there.
Our trip was more affordable than we thought and would recomment it to our friends. We were right in the resort area and so we checked out some of the other hotels. There is nothing better even at twice the price. We'll be back.
