Summary of Alverton Studio Studio, Sleeps 2

What a magical place to stay in Barbados!
It was just perfect, every need was catered for and all amenities was readily on hand.
It was just as Michaael had described and the pictures hinted at.
The porperty was clean and cleaned regurarly during my stay.
Jordan's supermarket a stones throw away, so handy to stock up the fridge. Nothing is too far away from Alverton.
The bar Il Tempo just a 'hop skip' away did the most divine pina colada's!
I will be going back and soon.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Alverton Studio last year. While close to transportation, the beach, and the supermarket, it was not what we had in mind.

The beach was steep and rocky (too many rocks to go into the water actually, the waves would thrust them at your legs and scrape you) and crawling with creepy sand bugs at night. The bus stop was SO close that it was literally right outside the door so for 18 hours a day we constantly heard the bus horns, which play MUSIC. The supermarket was limited in items I guess since most food is imported, and contained a lot of processed junk food.

The actual studio itself seemed clean and charming, however there were mega island sized COCKROACHES in the kitchen, as well as ants.

I found the cleaning staff to have no respect for your space or privacy, and they don't do dishes.

The studio faces the road, as I mentioned before, and you have to walk around the building to access the shared courtyard. The other 2 buildings were being rented by some other people, and they would take up all the chairs and tables. Since we came from the other side of the building and were quite outnumbered, we felt awkward when attempting to share the space with them.

We just did not have a very good time here (and I've been to many other countries), and were relieved to arrive back home.

My husband and I just returned from a 2 week stay at the Alverton Studio. We found the property to be clean and well maintained & just the perfect size for a couple on the go.

The courtyard had plenty of space for lounging & as the property is directly on the beach, getting out for a swim was convenient. We felt safe & secure & the grocery store is almost directly across the street.

We were in Barbados for the Crop Over festival and thoroughly enjoyed the shows. Have been to Barbados many times before & we know well the costs & types of accommodations you can get there. This property was definitely great!! Friendly owner & maid as well. Just can't say enough.

We will definitely recommend this accommodation to friends and we will be sure to book here again on our next trip to Barbados. Price was right too!!
