Summary of Cottage 14 4 Bedrooms, Sleeps 6

We stayed in cottage 18 for 4 nights with our family. The property is peaceful and serene, nestled between hills and with spectacular views of the vineyards. Ignaz met us upon our arrival a warm welcome complete with a bottle of wine, local sausages, and bread. There was plenty to do in the immediate area (Parc del Garraf, Olerdola, vineyards), and only about 45 minutes from Barcelona and the airport. Montserrat is about 45 minutes away, and Sitges and the ocean are a quick 15-20 minutes away. The cottage is well equipped with a dishwasher and laundry machine, plenty of warm soft blankets and excellent bedding, high quality towels, and everything was spotlessly clean. One day, Filippa made a trip out to meet us and showed us cottage 12, which has the tower. She and Ignaz gave us a grand tour of the property and we had the chance to climb up the tower which gave an amazing view of the surrounding area.

There is a lovely pool on the property but we did not have the chance to use it b/c we were so busy enjoying ourselves on the terrace or at surrounding sights. There is also a small fish and frog pond which our young sons liked watching.

The cottage, although located in a seemingly rural area, is only 5 minutes from a Carrefour and Lidl supermarket. We were able to cook our own meals in the well equipped kitchen, and loved watching the sunset while eating dinner on the terrace overlooking the vineyards. We had a very full schedule of outings to local sights but each morning as we drove away for our daytrips we felt a bit foolish for leaving the property -- the cottage was so nice that we would probably have been perfectly happy staying there and relaxing the whole day!

There really was nothing lacking and we felt so privileged to have the opportunity to stay there. If only we could have stayed longer!
