Cossignano stands on a hill about 400 meters above sea level, and is only 15 km from the sea. The town dominates the surrounding hills and offers views ranging from the Adriatic sea to the Sibillini mountains. From the Adriatic highway leads you onto the Valtesino, just south of Grottammare. A small castle of medieval origins stands out among the houses of the village. The architecture resembles that of the castle walls of the castle with the historic city walls clearly delimited by the (regular oval shape), dating from the late thirteenth century and still well preserved.
