Best value home with heated pool -- Walk or bike to Bonita Beach

We really enjoyed your home. It worked very well for our son. He thought
it was great and thought we should stay another 30 days or so. The
bathroom/shower was very nice for our situation. It also was located
very close to my sister-in-laws house so that made it so convenient for
us all. We definitely will keep this in mind for future trips and tell
other families with kids with disabilities what a find we found! Thanks

We (Family of five, 2 adults, three kids (8, 7 and 3 years) spend wonderful 12 days at Casa Bonita.

The house was perfect for us. It was all as described. The owners (Cate and Peter) contacted us before via e-Mail and made sure that - for example - the kid safety screen was built around the pool. This was very importnant for us as the youngest boy cannot swim.

The rooms were fitted out as you would like to have it, kitchen was not new, but all functioning and in good shape. The pool was the perfect "toy" for all of our boys and for us. Lots of fun and with the given pool toys a fantastic "exercise".

Internet, TV, phone, WLAN, all was there. In the garage there were bikes and all what is required for a day at the beach. Some of the things there were broken - therefore not usable -- but this was only a very minor thing and I believe these were left overs from former renters. Anyway, we had all what was needed.

The house was clean and very luxury with regard tp space. The kids space was on one side, the master bedroom on the other. This way we could have some time for us as well, while the kids were playing on their room(s).

We would and will recommend this house to our friends. It is not brand new, but we actually liked this as we were feeling home and not as we would have been in a space that "does not belong to us".

Shopping opportunities are within five minutes by car (Publix, K-Markt etc.).
Outlets for extensive shopping are within 15 minutes and the beaches are within five minutes as well. For dinner all needs (from cheap to expensive) are reachable within 5 to 20 minutes as well, like Outback, IHOP, MCDonalds (kids), Cheesecake Factory, Doc's Beach House etc.

Our next trip to Florida is scheduled for Oct. next year and this house will be on our list to ask, if there is some space available.

I would recommend this beautiful, well-maintained and conveniently located house to anyone. It has a large southwest-facing lanai and pool, a spacious great room and all the kitchenware needed to cook your own meals. The landlords are delightful, very accommodating and friendly. (They live just a few miles away.) Access to the beach is close. The neighborhood is quiet, offering a pleasant area to walk through. Several good restaurants are within walking distance and spectacularly good ones just a short drive south off Tamiami Trail (US 41). Both Trader Joe's and Whole Foods are just a few minutes away by car. We rented this house for two winters, and had such a pleasant experience that we decided we wanted to buy our own house, which we have. We will miss Casa Bonita and our regular contact with the wonderful, knowledgeable owners of this property. For those who like to visit thrift shops, this area is heaven. For those who are serious birders or just like to watch birds, several nature preserves are available; we especially like the Audubon Bird Sanctuary at Corkscrew Swamp, which is about 45 minutes from Casa Bonita. There are also two off-leash dog parks within easy driving distance. A short drive north takes you to Dog Beach, which, as the name implies, is a sheltered cove where dogs can swim and chase balls in shallow waters. Just a bit farther north is Lovers Key, with trails around lagoons and easy access to a gorgeous white-sand beach. You just can't beat this place. Oh, I almost forgot, visitors ought to stop at Royal Scoop for the best ice cream in Florida; you can walk to it too. How great is that?
