Facing the river, ideal base for sightseeing in the heart of the World Heritage site, in a building dating back to 1793 completely refurbished in 2012, on the 4th floor with private elevator, a luxury apartment (100m²), very calm and bright, comfortable, elegantly decorated, with a terrace offering an amazing view overlooking the city, the river and its bridges, hosting up to six people.

The flat has a prestigious and very central location, tram on the doorstep (direct to train station). Tourist office (airport shuttle stop), all shops, many restaurants and main sightseeing attractions at walking distance. easy access to the Congress Hall and the Exhibition Centre (10 mn by car).

Flat including a large entrance, a 40 m2 living room giving onto the terrace, with one single bed, a fully equipped open kitchen, one bedroom with one double bed et one bedroom with three single beds, a large bathroom with double basin, shower and spa bath. Parking space in building garage: 10 € per day.

Great Location, Great View

This is a large, very comfortable and very clean flat in a great location. There are lovely views from the terrace and excellent shops, restaurants and bars within 2 mins walk. It was still very warm in early September so we appreciated the new a/c - which cools the whole place down very quickly.

We got a very friendly welcome from the owner when we arrived, and the flat has many tourist brochures with ideas about how to spend your time in Bordeaux. The city itself is charming and it's very easy to get around by just walking or on trams/hired bikes. On Sundays there is a great local food market on the waterfront directly opposite the flat.

I'd also recommend a visit to St Emilion - which is about an hour away by bus (cost approx 5 euros return). We also went west to the coast at Cap Ferret and Arcachon, an area worth seeing if you have time.

Would like to stay here again if I come back to Bordeaux.

Charming, comfortable and a stunning view.

This was our first stay on a 6-stop tour of France. Four of us stayed for four nights (two couples). What a grand apartment, a quiet but interesting part of Bordeaux. We slept well, ate well, and got a chance to experience Bordeaux a city I very much would like to return to.

Highlights included:
1. A two hour class at the so informative wine school - école du vin - outstanding. 2. The Saturday market 20 steps in front of the apartment - do not miss this.
3. Watching the tide go in and out and the sunrise and sunsets.

And being so well taken care of, both our introduction to the apartment and the sad good bye.
We hope to be back soon. This was the most lovely place to stay and so beautiful and comfortable.
Owner's Response: Thank you very much for your kind review. Our hard work refurbishing the flat has been worth while! Adding A/C, the lift and windows overlooking the old city at the back and a terrace over the river at the front. The city is also perfect for people who enjoy cycling.
I hope to see again some other time.

Very well located but very hot in summer

We stayed in this apartment for five days in June, with our children (aged 9 and 7). The apartment is very well located, right next to the river, and a tram stop, with all sorts of shops nearby and walking distance to all attractions. There is a great bike hire place nearby (CoolBikes) with children's bikes, and there are also numerous city bike places nearby. The owner was very helpful in showing us around, and the apartment is nicely decorated. For us, though, there were two major problems. First, even though the temperature was only 25-28, the apartment was very hot, as it is a loft apartment, with no windows, only skylights, so no through drafts. We found it very hard to sleep. The loft apartment also meant that a lot of the floor space had very low ceilings. Second, the kitchen is very small, with little equipment, so if you are intending to cook your own food, you will find it difficult. There are good restaurants nearby, but our children are hard to please, so we tend to try and cook for them.
