Beach Cottage Bed & Breakfast Feb/Mar from 50eur p.n.

This bed and breakfast is the best I have ever stayed in (and my family has done a lot of traveling in the states and abroad). Joan is not only a wonderful chef who turns out breakfasts to die for (more on that later) but is kind, generous and attentive. From the first moment my friend and I arrived at the lovely house set two blocks from the beach in a nice neighborhood, she made us feel at home. She did not just welcome us but offered us glasses of wine and helped us get settled in the cozy, sweet bedrooms. She took time to show us Sitges on the map she provided and gave us delicious local restaurant recommendations (Nem is a must tapas place she told us about!). There are not words to describe how scrumptious the breakfasts were (freshly baked scones, muffins, toast and the best poached eggs I have ever had, homemade granola, frittatas, tarts.... the list goes on and I was only three for 3 mornings. Each day is an elaborate spread of options that will fill you up till dinner time. The fruit smoothies are awesome too! It was wonderful sitting at the big wooden table in the dining area enjoying breakfast with the other lovely guests.
Joan shared fresh greens from her garden with us - a delightful treat on a rainy night we spent in. She also showed us a fantastic hike from Sitges to the next town over that we would have never found or known about on our own. Going out of her way to make our visit fun, comfortable and delicious, Joan's Bed and Breakfast stands out as one of the highlights of the month I spent in Europe. Sitges is a great beach town and having a lovely place to stay makes it even better. I hope to be back soon! Don't miss the poached eggs on your stay!
