6 person house in a quiet location with a private pool

Mulberry has been built using the rose tinted local stone which blends beautifully into the gently wooded surroundings. Throughout, vanilla toned walls with whitewashed beams, terracotta tiles and stripped wooden floorboards display the fabulous collection of colourful Kilims, carpets and ethnic objects that the owner has picked up during her travels around the world.

Practically every room has French doors as the warm Bodrum breeze drifts through the house the leaves of the ancient olive trees rustle in the gentle wind. The bamboo shaded front terrace with mottled light is a delightful place to curl up with a good book and the pool (6.80 m x 4.3 m, depth ranges from 1.20 to 1.60m) is always inviting. The surrounding gardens are delightful, and a basket of white mulberries or plump figs plucked straight from the tree can supplement the breakfast table.

Accommodation is spread between the main house and the guest house.

Car: necessary

There is a small village shop just minutes from the property stocked with everyday items including fresh bread, fresh eggs and ice creams; once weekly there is a fruit and vegetable market. The nearest large supermarkets are on the main road to Yalikavak (15 minutes walk/3 minutes drive) and Yalikavak town also has a weekly fruit and vegetable market. There are many restaurants in Yalikavak town centre. (5 minutes drive).

Nearest beaches - The beaches and coves around Yalikavak and Gundogan are within a 10 minute drive from the property. The larger sandy beaches on the south side of the Peninsula are all within a 25 minute drive. Gümüslük with lagoon like swimming and great snorkelling is a 30 minute drive.

Recommended airports: Bodrum/Milas Airport is 45 minutes by car; Dalaman 2 hr. 45 min.

Golf: Vita Park Golf course – this is the Bodrum area’s first golf course and it is a splendid addition to the area.
