Kick off your outdoor gear in the 'Boot Room' and make yourself snug in front of the log burner. Create heavenly meals in the AGA-warmed kitchen, choose a DVD for the large plasma TV and turn up the volume (the sheep wont mind!), or luxuriate in the spa bathroom with wellness whirlpool and steamroom.

Explore the facinating history of the estate and the village, Ribble Valley has an abundance of tourist attractions or further afield is easy access to Leeds, Harrogate and Manchester. For those who like the outdoors Yorkshire Dales is one direction, Trough of Bowland the other and Lake District equally accessible.

Bolton-By-Bowland is a 'Quintessentially English' village in the Ribble Valley, on the border of Lancashire and North Yorkshire. Easily accessible off the M6 by car, nearest train stations are Clitheroe and Skipton. The property is a 5min walk to the village centre where you will find an award winning pub, tea rooms (with groceries available) and gift shop.

History lovers will enjoy exploring the village, there is a Norman church, and on the estate there is a Well discovered by King Henry VI, now an ancient listed monument.

Nearest large towns are Clitheroe (15 mins drive) and Skipton (20 mins drive). Both market towns have supermarkets and interesting array of shops. The North West is known for being the largest producers of food and artisan food in the UK and you will find many great eateries and suppliers to suit any tastes.

All outdoor activities are catered for locally, with the infamous Stocks Reservior and Gisburn Forest on our doorstep. People travel many miles to make use of the superb cycling, walking and riding amenities. From the doorstep are some good walks in the countryside and access to popular cycling routes.
