Step back in time to the 1920’s and enjoy a wonderful home that has been lovingly cared for by the same family for 3 generations and over 80 years. This classic dutch colonial bungalow offers original charm combining the updated comfort a discerning traveler desires. Located in the Lee Park neighborhood of Minneapolis adjacent to Golden Valley, Crystal, Robbinsdale and Minneapolis. The area is a charming and historic neighborhood near restaurants, entertainment, downtown Minneapolis and the exclusive western suburbs of Minneapolis. This is a cozy and well located retreat.
This was our first visit to Minneapolis to see our daughter, son-n-law, and first grand baby boy. The house is very nice, and had everything you could need. Our stay came during the first big snow and record cold, but Mike had our driveway and walk shoveled each snow shower. You will not find that kind of attention to clients. Being from the south we really appreciated this detail. From the first e-mail everything was so smooth and easy to book. We loved the fact that it was pet friendly and the yard was fenced. We were not looking forward to walking our pets in the cold, so nice to open up the back door and watch. Thank you so much for providing a pet friendly place, we always travel with them and sometimes it is hard to find accommodations. We definitely recommend this rental and hope to visit it frequently in the future. Very clean, and cozy and close to many things! Put a penny or a thin kitchen towel in the dryer door and the dryer works perfect. Consider renting this lovely we'll kept home, you won't be disappointed!
Everything was just as described. Perfect place for the two of us during our week long stay. Cozy and comfortable and a great location near Robinsdale...great dining and nearby fishing and golf!
Very cozy place. Walking trails nearby. Love the pet-friendly fenced backyard.
My husband and I needed to find a place in Minneapolis to stay due to a family meeting. This property is only minutes away from his deceased parent's home. We knew from the momemt we opened the door that this home has been lovingly cared for and updated just enough to leave the over all charm of this bungalow. (I loved the smell of the hard wood floors.) Even though it was cold outside we managed to get in and out of MN without snow, which is a miracle at that time of year. I loved the front porch and my dogs loved the back yard :)
Everything that I saw on the internet was right on. I only needed to send one email about the clothes dryer and was sent the secret instruction immediately. ** Hint: tape a penny inside dryer door.**
We REALLY loved the bedroom. My husband and I both thought it was the most comfortable bed we've slept on. And the TV in the bedroom had better reception than the one in the living room.
With my husband having three siblings still around Minneapolis, we will definitely try to stay there again. And he really had a great time with the piano. He plays very well as well as rebuilding them and tuning them.
And a very special thanks for being dog friendly. Our children are grown and we only have four legged children now.
I would recommend this property to anyone for any reason.
The cabin is cosy and charming. In addition to the other amenities, Wi-fi access and use of the washer and dryer are a bonus especially for extended stays. The front porch provides a welcome respite from full exposure to seasonal elements. The back yard is sizeable if you intend on staying with children and/or pets. Highways and retail outlets are within easy driving access and the location is sited within a pleasant neighbourhood.
As an international traveller, I found it a pleasure communicating with Mike prior to and during my stay.
Our family of 7 stayed here for one week and it is actually more roomy than it appears. The house is clean and charming, both inside & outside. It is also very well stocked. Our visit was during an unusually hot & humid week, but the backyard + a water sprinkler = happy children! There are 2 playgrounds within walking distance of the house and an endless amount of activities within a short drive! I felt safe in the neighborhood when I went running in the mornings and the neighbors were friendly.
The owner of this home is very accommodating and returned phone calls/emails promptly.
This home is very cozy & is tastefully decorated and we felt comfortable and "at home" from the moment we got there.
The ONLY downside for us is that the shower (with it's sloped ceiling) is definitely not made for a 6' 6" man like my husband :)
We would highly recommend this home for your stay in the Minneapolis area!
This quaint home is located in the charming Lee Park neighborhood which borders on Golden Valley, Crystal and Robbinsdale and only 15 minutes from cosmopolitan downtown Minneapolis and the fashionable western suburbs of Minneapolis. The home is nearby the many shimmering lakes, fabulous shopping, superb restaurants, first class entertainment and culture that is part and parcel of the Twin Cities.
Ski: There are many ski areas that are local to the twin cities and just outside the city limits. Also, some of the local more hilly parks have small ski slopes and areas for cross-country skiing.
