The Granite Belt!!

Stretching 60kms from north to south and roughly half as wide, the Granite Belt is small but diverse. Dotted along the New England Highway are our villages and hamlets, with Stanthorpe, the main central town.

Through the region, country lanes wind through vineyards, orchards and the namesake granite boulders which dot the landscape like crazy marbles.

Village life in the Granite Belt is everything you imagined - friendly, quiet and cute. Each village and hamlet has its own style - take the time to explore them.

Will be back again and again
We had two weekends here. We all had a fabulous time with our two separate groups of friends. We love the outdoor open fire in winter. Some house clean could be a little more attentive. (dinner table wasnt wiped). Master bedroom's bathroom needs a heating element as it was cold to step in the shower in the mornings. Property Manager is extremely helpful, she assisted us on the day eg. light bulb was not working. We need more firewood. All of us wants to come back again and again to this place. We were close to everything. My husband and I have been to this place 4 times now and will definitely book again.

Host profile image
We purchased Seagoe Homestead as our own weekender in 2012 and to catch up with our extended family & friends in the district, who settled in the Liston area in the 1860s.

Why they chose this property

It is a quiet, rural setting, with plenty of privacy, and only a few minutes to town. It has plenty of character.
