My family met in Indy for a family reunion and we shared the house with some of the family. This house was perfect and everything and MORE than they said it would be. We held 2 family dinners where we had 30 people and there was plenty of room to entertain. The kitchen is pure Heaven to cook in and the deck was wonderful to share your morning coffee. I can't think of one thing that we didn't enjoy and I would rent this property again the next time we gather as a family. The owners could not have been nicer to deal with and they have created a beautiful rental property that I would love to own for my own home. If you want something to rent that is beautiful and perfectly located to so many things in the city - rent this one. You will be very pleased and you will feel you are at "home".
We had a fantastic experience working with Joyce, Bob, and Elizabeth to provide great housing for us for Memorial Day weekend. The house is better appointed than most any HomeAway house in which I've ever stayed. Having two refrigerators downstairs was great, the hot tub was extremely relaxing, and the beds and living spaces were ample and comfortable. We couldn't have asked for a better house.
The neighborhood around the house could afford to follow suit and improve to the standard set by this house. There were some louder noises at night and walking to/from Fountain Square didn't seem safe at times, but the quick drive anywhere made the house location convenient.
Communication with the owners was timely, understanding, and friendly. I would happily rent from them again.
A great spot for a group vacation looking to be centrally located!
We had 7 women on a week-end getaway. Perfect home for a gathering such as this. We were concerned about having to drive to downtown Indy. No issues with the short drive and parking was abundent. One evening we decided to take a cab, very affordable as well. $14.00 for 7 women to downtown. (plus gratuity) I was able to meet the owner while there, she was delightful. Book this place!
We could not have been happier with our stay at this house! The decor and furnishings made us feel like we were visiting family, not staying in a rental - it felt very much like a home. Great beds, comfortable living room, two refrigerators, and the hot tub was amazing. Communication with the owners was friendly and fast, they made the whole process very easy compared to other places we have stayed at on Homeaway. Hoping to come back next summer for another stay!
On behalf of the six of us who stayed here on Memorial Day weekend, I wanted to express our appreciation to Joyce and Elizabeth (and family) for a great experience. The house was beautiful inside and out, with comfortable beds and relaxing grounds. Hopefully, the neighborhood will continue to be improved and renovated to the standard that they've set with this home. Outstanding location close to downtown, and easy to access from the airport and the speedway. I highly recommend this home to anyone who wants to enjoy their stay in Indianapolis. Thanks, Brenda & friends
This is a beautiful home and we really loved staying here. We had four couples but the house could easily accommodate 3-4 more people. We spent much of our time enjoying the house and utilizing the hot tub!
We are not from the area and did not know much about the Fountain Square area. The only thing that I would caution future renters about is that the few blocks surrounding the house are not nice - many houses are boarded up. We did not encounter any problems but were just very surprised that such a nice house was located in this neighborhood. That being said, we would definitely stay here again. It is a great bargain and a few blocks away there are lots of nice restaurants and it is very close to downtown.
Just southeast of downtown, our funky Indianapolis neighborhood has vintage and antique shops, a world of restaurants, working artists and a vibrant arts scene, live music and performance, and one-of-a-kind stores that sell comics, musical instruments, home décor, fresh flowers, and so much more. Visit Fountain Square any time of the day or night, and find out why our neighborhood is anything but…square! It is Fountain Square Historical Neighborhood.
