3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, sleeps 6

Our home is on a wooded lot in the beautiful Masthope Mountain Community, home of Ski Big Bear and sleeps up to 6 guests. Family room features a wood burning fireplace, flat screen TV with HD cable and blu ray player. Each of the 3 bedrooms also has a flat screen TV w/ cable and DVD player. There is a spacious covered rear deck overlooking the woods with gas grill and seating for outdoor entertaining. The kitchen has an electric stove/oven, full size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee pot, Keureg (bring your own k-cups), waffle maker, and all utensils, cookware and tableware are available for your use. Just down the road is the lake/beach and at the top of the mountain is the lodge with outdoor pool, tennis/basketball courts, restaurant, grocery store and skiing . There is also a fitness center and horseback riding at our private stables. This is the perfect place to relax and watch the deer and other wildlife wander by with lots of activities for those on the go.

24 hour patrolling security! The family room and each bedroom has a ceiling fan. We have an air conditioning unit in each bedroom as well. Family room and all bedrooms have flat screen TV with DVD players (blue ray in family room). We do not have internet access, however, smart phones do work fairly well and there is free wifi at the lodge. We do not have a telephone at the house but, again, cell phones work fairly well since they added a cell tower at the top of the mountain. The Masthope community requires homeowners to notify them 2 weeks prior to check in date for all rentals so we do need at least two weeks notice for all rentals. Children are welcome but we do not accept pets at his time. Our home sleeps a maximum of 6 people (3 bedrooms).

Our home is located on beautiful Masthope mountain, home of Ski Big Bear. Plenty of activities all year round. On the mountain there is a lake with beach with a boat slip for your own small boat or jetski, outdoor pool, playground, tennis/basketball courts, skiing, lodge restaurant, grocery store, fitness center/massage, horseback riding, and much more. Locally, in the town of Lackawaxen, there is bird watching (bald eagles), the Delaware River where you can enjoy rafting, fishing or relaxing, historic sights and local restaurants. Home is 15-30 minutes from local towns such as Hawley, Honesdale and Milford with lots to do such as wineries, antiquing, shopping, movies, bowling, bars/restaurants, historical sights and tours, hiking/waterfalls, Lake Wallenpaupack, and much more. Also nearby is Costa's Family Fun Park and Paws 'N' Claws Animal Park.

Notes: Home has been beautifully remodeled from top to bottom in Fall 2011 with hardwood floors in living room/dining room/kitchen, ceramic tile in bathrooms, wood trim, stone fireplace. Our home does have air conditioning in each bedroom and there are ceiling fans in all bedrooms and the family room. We provide a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and a roll of paper towels and napkins as well as liquid soap at each sink. Video game console is a wii with 2 controllers. We have games for adults and children and some toys for children as well. We also have deer corn that can be placed on the ground when deer are present.

This review is well overdue but here you go. We stayed in the house for 3 nights on new year's and had amazing time there (6 adults and 3 little kids). The house is wonderful, it's clean, spacious, well kept and has this cozy feeling which makes you feel like at home. The owners were very accommodating in everything, very responsive. The house is 3-4 min drive to slopes which was wonderful. The area is very beautiful too. I would recommend this house to a friend.

My family and I were looking for a place in Mast Hope to rent for a few days. We came across this house and it looked pretty good. We contacted the home owners (who responded quickly). We had a few questions, they were answered and we rented the house. We have never rented a house over the internet before so my wife and I were a bit skeptical. The home owners were in contact with us often with both e- mail and phone calls. They were very informative with the business and accommodation end of the rental.
Now the house, the pictures on the site looked good. When we went inside the front door we thought we were in a different house. The house was beautiful. It was very clean and decorated nicely. The rooms were a nice size and the beds were comfortable. This house had all you need to have a good time with both cooking and relaxing. We all had a good week and will rent this house again in the future.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for the Memorial holiday weekend and it was great!!! This was a last minute find but when he opened the door I was amazed how beautiful and spacious it was. (He did good, great find!)

It was immaculate and contained everything we needed in order to feel at home. Having a washer & dryer was great as well.

The house was quite, super comfy and tastefully decorated (We even counted how many "Bear Decor" there were in the house). We have the number__.

It was perfect, didn't want to leave!
