The Chateaubriand II is a big apartment of 1000 sq feet located on the 3rd floor of a triplex. It includes 2 bedrooms with queen size beds, a therapeutic bathtub and 5 appliances, office with WIFI, 42’’ LCD screen, etc.

We are located in the Rosemont – Petite Patrie area, 2 minutes walk from the Beaubien Metro. The area is very nice and safe, very lively. We are a few steps away from the St-Hubert shopping area, 5 minutes from the famous Jean-Talon market known for its culinary diversity and its fresh produce and next to the Little Italy known for all its various restaurants and terraces. There’s a mix of Latin and Asian cuisine around the area.

The Plateau Mont-Royal is located within 15 minutes walk . All the main attractions, Downtown Montreal, Old Port, Universities and museums are all accessible via the subway and all within 15mins. Best way to see Montreal is via its subway system, also if you like to bike, you will find a BIXI station located near the apartment.

But if you have a car, you can park on the street in front of the apartment for free.

Chateaubriand Apartment Montreal

The apartment was great - better than advertised in our view. We traveled to Montreal with our 12-year-old and the location was perfect. Central to "everywhere" in Montreal. The Metro stop is a block away [Montreal Metro system is very efficient, clean and quiet] and we were twenty minutes from pretty much anywhere downtown. We skied at Mount Royal - fifteen minutes by car, we visited the Biodome and the Insectarium, both fifteen minutes away. We went to a number of museums and the apartment was always a peaceful home in the midst of the city. The kitchen is well equipped and the market is just a half block away. There are number of good restaurants within three or four blocks - a couple just around the corner. The Jean Talon Market is two blocks away - a real gourmand's heaven. Helene was a responsive host, even shoveling off our stairs after a snow storm. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Being from Australia, at first I had my reservation with booking a place i had not viewed apart from photos on the website. But early communication with Helene was very reassuring and when we arrived the place was exactly as per the pictures.

Everything is close by, shops, eateries and the metro and buses. So easy to get around.

My daughter and I had a long term stay and the place had all we could ask for. All the little things to make this like your home away from home. The area is very safe for families.

Helene and Micheal were very helpful and friendly, great hosts!I highly recommend this place if you are ever in Montreal.

Ravie par la location de cet appartement, bien situé par rapport à la ville, tout en étant dans un quartier très calme.
Refait à neuf en intégralité, tout est très propre, neuf, plaisant, meublé avec goût.
Sans en faire de trop, afin de rendre ce logement pratique à utiliser, les propriétaires ont su doser lieu confortable et fonctionnel.
De plus l'accueil chaleureux des propriétaires en fait un lieu de qualité.
Merci à une prochaine fois peut être.

We were two couples spending a vacation weekend in Montreal. The apartment was spotless and well appointed, with full kitchen, two ample bedrooms and a beautiful bathroom with jacuzzi tub, washer and dryer, a comfortable living room with flat screen TV. We walked the few blocks to the famed Jean Talon market each morning for bowls of coffee and fresh croissants. The clean and efficient subway was just a block away. We had several wonderful dinners during our short stay. Helene and Michel were warm and helpful, both upon our arrival and our departure. One of our party had knee problems so the stairs to the third floor location were a challenge. I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a touch of luxury in a quiet neighborhood convenient to public transportation and major traffic arteries.

Le Chateaubriand II

We loved this lovely two bedroom apartment! It's located in a residential neighborhood just blocks from Little Italy...with lots of neat restaurants and shopping. The apartment is very comfortable with 2 private bedrooms, a nice living area, lovely large bath and spotless FULL kitchen. There's also a flat screen TV and wifi. (Just beware if you have mobility issues, it is a 3rd floor walkup). The apartment is only a block or so away from Beaubien metro stop so incredibly convenient to all of Montreal.

We were in Montreal for a long weekend and had scheduled activities every day. We would prefer more bath towels (though we did wash the ones in the unit during our stay in the unit's washer/dryer) and more toilet paper. We purchased extra in a store nearby. Ceiling fans would be a nice addition in the bedrooms and living area.

All in all, we really enjoyed our first visit to Montreal. Michel was waiting for us when we arrived to get us settled into the apartment. He was incredibly pleasant, helpful and welcoming. This was our first use of Home Away. We look forward to finding other apartments in our future travels!
