Yellowbird by the Sea. Beautiful comfortable beachfront home for up to 8.

The yellowbird at the sea home was a dream come true for our family. We were looking to get away from all the hustle and bustle and that is exactly what we got. This is your own little piece of paradise! The home was better than the pictures on the internet shows. The home was immaculate when we arrived. The mattresses on the bed were VERY comfortable and made for a great nights sleep. The owners take great pride in this home and it definitely shows. The views from the top level were outstanding and breathtaking. The path to the white sand beach is less than a minute walk. The owners provided everything you need, even beach chairs and toys! Our girls loved all the animals, such as turtles, lizards, raccoons, possoms, crabs etc that they found each day. The family loved finding new sea shells from the thousands to choose from on the beach. The owners Kathy and ahmad are super nice people and stay in contact and they are very concerned that your stay is as comfortable as possible. If you looking to get away and soak in Gods true nature, then this is the home for you. Our family will definitely be back!

Our trip to Yellowbird on Keewaydin Island could not have been better. We were looking for a place to unplug from the world and spend a week with our dear friends. We selected the house online and the detailed description and pictures of the house was critical to us selecting the house. The house was perfectly situated for the four adults and five childern in our group, with large private bedrooms, each with a private bath. We were greated with warmth and enthusiasm by the owners to start our journey out the island. We have rented many houses in our past vacation travels and have never had the level of personal attention and care by the owners. For instance we asked about sand toys at the house before our visit, when we arrived not only were there toys there but it was clear that the owners had specifically bought some new toys to match our children's age. The house was stocked with plenty of games and movies. Also, during the week, we had a minor problem with an appliance that we reported to the owner on Saturday night (of a holiday week). On SUNDAY MORNING the owner arrived by boat with a technician to take care of the issue.

The description of the listing online and the pictures of the house were very accurate. The house was spotless upon our arrival and everything is very new and in excellent condition. The views are even better in person then they could possibly be online. We also had the boat for the week which we used for several excursions to see the island as well as to visit Naples and Marco Island. The boat was clean, started right up every time and was very comfortable. While on the boat we saw several pods of dolphins which came right up to the boat! The eco infrastructure of the house is amazing with solar panels, coupled with a full gas generator. With not much effort we were proud that we never had the solar batteries slip below 70% capacity.

Now for the island. It is one of the most beautiful places in the world, not just the US. Everyday we walked onto a pristine seemingly private beach to a new collection of shells to hunt. Watching the dolphins offshore and the pelicans fishing was an unexpected pleasure. The gulf waters were calm and warm and the sandbar out in front of the house gave the kids plenty of freedom in the water. We would absolutely recommend Yellowbird to a friend or any family or group looking to unplug for the world and get back to nature in an spectacular setting. We will be back!!!!!
