Located in the very heart of The Gold Coast, Australia’s most popular tourist destination, Broadbeach, sits at the centre of a golden expanse of fine sandy and sun drenched beaches. The Gold Coast is a holiday playground located in the South East of The Sunshine State, just 94 kilometres south of Brisbane, the state capital. Whatever you’re looking for in a holiday and whatever your requirements may be in holiday rentals or other accommodation, you’ll find it in Broadbeach, as it is the cosmopolitan hub of this Southern Queensland resort city which has more attractions, venues and holiday accommodation than any other location in the Southern Hemisphere.
No sooner will you have arrived in Broadbeach than you will breathe and feel the holiday atmosphere, and discover the reason why this is a favourite holiday and business destination with a myriad of sights and activities to see and do. Whether you are looking for luxury and sophistication, a romantic getaway or a family oriented affair, Broadbeach offers something to suit all tastes and budgets, sophisticated casinos to family fun parks and holiday deals ranging from budget accommodation to luxury hotels.
Due to Broadbeach’s centralised location, whatever your choice of accommodation, whether you stay in a hotel or serviced apartment or even if your choice is a holiday villa, you will be within walking distance not only to the best stretches of golden fine sandy beaches, but also to world class shopping, international wining and dining, nightclubs and other entertainment.
You’ve arrived in a paradise blessed with all year round sunshine and never ending stretches of natural sandy beaches. Whether you’re looking for rest and relaxation on Broadbeach’s golden sands, or it is the more vigorous and adventurous aspects of beach culture such as surfing, kite surfing, volleyball or sand sculpting which lured you to the Broadbeach paradise, you won’t be disappointed with the incredible and spectacular stretches of Gold Coast patrolled beaches which boast fine golden sand and pristine waters. Swim, surf or relax in the crystal clear blue waters of the Pacific Ocean and enjoy a leisurely stroll along Surf Parade and be spoilt for choice with a line up of chic cafes as well as an impressive array of sophisticated restaurants offering the best international food.
While you’re in the Gold Coast’s premier shopping destination, you’ll be tempted to indulge in some retail therapy at the centrally located chic fashion boutiques or at either of the shopping centres, Pacific Fair, which is one of Australia’s largest shopping centres offering the latest and most sophisticated fashion brands or at the Oasis Shopping Centre which houses exclusive boutiques and home grown Queensland designs.
As a majority of the Gold Coast’s entertainment venues are located within the Broadbeach area, your holiday apartment will not be far from the best nightclubs offering live entertainment until the early hours; or you can enjoy a live glittering floor show in true Las Vegas style at the Conrad’s Jupiter’s Casino, where you may also wish to try your luck on any of the gaming tables spread across two huge levels. For a more cultural experience, you may enjoy the live theatre productions, arts theatre and art galleries at the Gold Coast Arts Centre.
If your holiday is more family oriented, you will no doubt opt for family accommodation in either a rental holiday house or other self- contained accommodation. When the family has taken in all the sea, sun and surf which their hearts desire, just a short drive away from the hustle and bustle of the coastal area, you may relax in the peaceful hinterland of heritage listed rainforest. Delight the younger members of the group by visiting any of the many theme parks in the Broadbeach area, as you will find something for everyone, from water parks with water slides, oceanariums and wildlife sanctuaries and many more, including Dreamworld and Warner Brothers Movie World. Enjoy leisurely family lunches and barbecues whilst lounging around the pool of your holiday home with your children and family pets, should you have opted for pet friendly accommodation.
Enjoy the comfortable sub tropical climate with sunny blue skies and warm clear days each and every day of your holidays. Broadbeach boasts 300 days of sunshine per year with hot days which are perfect for swimming and water sports and mild evenings for dining alfresco and romantic walks along the moonlit beach. In summer, from December to February, the temperature ranges from 20 to 28 degrees, and although this is the perfect time for swimming and water sports, most of the annual rainfall falls between January and March. Autumn from March to May and Spring from September to November are probably the best times of year to visit, with temperatures ranging from 15ºC to 25º C, which is ideal for both outdoor and indoor activities.
When travelling to Broadbeach, you have a choice of two airports; although Brisbane Airport is an alternative at approximately 90 kilometres distance, the Gold Coast international airport is a much closer option, and many Australian as well as leading international airlines operate out of both airports. Both airports have excellent links to the major destinations in the city.
For a great family holiday with teenagers you can’t go past Broadbeach.
We stayed in a three bedroom apartment that was very fairly priced, all we had to do was park the car in the basement and forget about it. The main attraction was right across the road at the end of the mall, the beautiful Gold Coast beach, which we popped down to every day.
Afterwards around sunset we would enjoy a sundowner at the Broadbeach hotel or at the array of bars on the mall, and if there was a storm brewing in the north we would enjoy the show from our large balcony. When on holiday its nice to enjoy a new dress or dress your man in a new shirt, so diagonally across the mall is a large shopping centre. Just one block away is Pacific Fair and it has everything.
The teenagers love that place and come back to the unit to tell you about the amazing fashions or technology on offer. The buses run through Broadbeach both up to Surfers Paradise or all the way down to Coolangatta. Gambling is on offer too just across the Gold Coast highway, if that's your thing.
Sometimes, if you time the holiday right or are just lucky, the Gold Coast convention centre is across the same road and we have seen some great concerts and events there. There is so much to do in Broadbeach, that in one week there isn't enough time to do it all and relax. We try to unwind first and see which direction we cruise to next.
