Hike to the top of Mount Coolum

The dome shaped Mount Coolum possesses a height of 208m and is the second largest rock in the world. Once at the summit, you will be rewarded with a panoramic 360 degree view of the Sunshine Coast from the coastline and beaches even reaching Moreton Island to Double Island Point, the cane fields and wetland areas of the Maroochy River Valley, as well as the major areas of the Coast.

The best way to reach Coolum Beach from the UK is by flying into Sunshine Coast Airport at Maroochydore and then driving only 10 minute to Coolum Beach. Otherwise, you can fly into Brisbane International Airport and take an airport transfer that is an hour and a half drive to the beachside town of Coolum Beach.
