Queensland has a sub-tropical climate, but because Kings Beach is situated right on the coastline, the gentle sea breeze and temperate sea water have an impact in keeping the air temperatures from soaring in the mid summer heat. Expect summer temperatures of 30 C and winter temperatures around 19C. High humidity is a constant companion, so even though Queensland claims the season to be winter, you could easily continue wearing your thin summer wardrobe. The heaviest rains come in the heart of summer, around December/ January, and the humidity is often over 80%, but all the holiday accommodation, whether it is a self-catered holiday rental or a beachfront holiday villa, will be properly set up to accommodate the soaring sub-tropical temperatures.
