What to see and do when holidaying at Peregain Beach:
The Peregian Environmental Park can be found at the southern end of the beach and is a must see when visiting. It has areas of wallum heath which turns into a burst of colourful wildflowers in spring. In the western side of Peregian Beach is the majestic Lake Weyba National Park which contains the Lake Weyba. For a different taste of nature check out the nearby southern extension of the Noosa National Park which shows off a rich blend of coastal heath and scrub with stately rainforest that provides a sanctuary for native flora and fauna. These picturesque areas of bush can be strolled through and enjoyed at any time of the year.
Keeping with the nature theme, take that special someone to one of the wineries and experience the full bodied pleasure of these tasty drops. Or try out a cooking school and bring home something for the whole family.
If you want that tranquil feeling of being away but still want some home comforts venture into the town centre where you'll find a friendly beachside village with a town square and a wide selection of shops, cafes and restaurants – all with tasty treats and meals! If this doesn’t satisfy that inner shopper then pick up some of the local produce and terrific crafts at the regular Peregian community market, held every month on the second and fourth Sunday mornings. After enjoying your Sunday morning you can soak up the tunes of the outdoor Peregian Originals concert which involves musicians performing their own, original material (no covers allowed).
It’s a safe place to take kids swimming as the main beach is patrolled all year round to ensure its family friendly.
There is everything offered at Peregain Beach, you are guaranteed never to be bored if you take a trip to this haven!
Peregain Beach’s Climate:
The annual mean temperature for this paradise is 25 degrees Celsius, making it perfect for the beach all year round. Even more enticing is the water temperature in summer which reaches 25 degrees Celsius.

Fun seaside activities
On the first and third Sunday of every month, you can grab a chance to experience local life as it plods along in Peregian Beach. Pack a picnic and head to the park, where the Peregian Surf Life Saving Club hosts an original live music extravaganza where artists need to perform their own unique material, and no covers are allowed. Relax like a local on your rug under the trees.
Also twice a month every 1st and 3rd Sunday, head on to the beach market, the local market place, tucked away in a shady corner close to the waterfront. Browse the stalls from local designers and foodies and check out some of the most unique handcrafts like woodwork, sculpture, textiles and other artwork. Buy local, fresh produce to pack into your picnic basket before you head out to the music concert in the park.
A few leisurely footsteps away from your gorgeous holiday beach house, will take you right onto the beach where you can enjoy swimming, wave skiing, sailing and fishing, or just lie under the generous umbrellas and bond with your book for the day.
You can play a serious game of bowls down at the Peregian Beach bowls club, or catch a wave and a surfing lesson at the surf club on the main beach. If that is not really for you, then tack up a horse and ride through the dunes on horseback, or sign up for an energetic game of tennis at the tennis club. Whether you play golf, cricket, race canoes, are an avid parachute enthusiast or a professional retail therapist, you will need to find all sorts of exciting activities to fill your days, or you can trawl the cafes and restaurants at your leisure and just lie on the balcony of your holiday villa and soak up the sun, sea and friendly small town hospitality.
