Soak up the Sunshine Coast

The Sunshine Coast is a stretch of the Queensland seaside, running roughly from Noosa Heads to Caloundra, not too far north of Brisbane. As the name suggests, there are some beautiful beaches in the area. But that’s not all. The five national parks in the area give you the chance to enjoy the Australian wilderness at its best, while upmarket resort towns like Noosa have spas, golf courses and many other activities. Renting a holiday apartment or villa in this area gives you the freedom to explore this, one of the most wonderful areas of coastline in Australia.

Things to Do on Holiday in Sunshine Coast, Australia

For many people, the attraction of the Sunshine Coast is that it has a wide range of things to do, but is quieter and less crowded than Gold Coast and Surfers Paradise. Some of the coastal towns offer waterskiing, surfing, scuba diving and snorkelling. There are several excellent restaurants, and this is a good area to come if you want to enjoy a glass of wine or two in a friendly but chic pub – although Ettamogah Pub is the most famous place to drink in the area. Families will love the unspoilt beaches, the Australia Zoo and the Aussie World theme park. Whether you want to stay somewhere small with a pristine beach, or want a larger town with more amenities, you will find a holiday rental to suit.

Places to Visit on Holiday in Sunshine Coast, Australia

Any holiday in the Sunshine Coast should include a visit to at least one or two of the national parks. The Glasshouse Mountains are a beautiful place to visit, and the Noosa Everglades are the perfect place for a picnic. Inland, you’ll find small towns with bustling markets, while Fraser Island, with its amazing sands, is an amazing destination – you simply won’t find anything similar anywhere else. It’s easy to book guided excursions if you don’t fancy driving. At the end of the day, retire to your holiday apartment and face the tough choice of what to do tomorrow…
