60th Birthday Celebrations

4 of 5
Our stay at Hazelwood Cottage was great. It is a perfect place to kick of your shoes and relax. Its very clean and comfortable. There is a DVD player, piano, games, and buy the time u do the walks around the area u can get back home sit by the fire, and relax. A perfect location for a large family. We fed the donkeys, and the birds. BBQ on the verandah. Fished in the dam. There are some lovely cafes and restaurants in Warburton and a local IGA.to do your shopping. Would recomend a stay at Hazelwood Cottage to everyone. Unwind and enjoy the beauty of the valley. Looking forward to returning next year.

Relaxing Stay!

5 of 5
Our weekend was SO relaxing and peaceful. Just what we needed. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck, listening to the wildlife, with a glass of wine while overlooking the vineyards and hills. Very nice! Thank you for a very enjoyable stay!

comfortable serenity amongst the orchards

5 of 5
After staying 2 nights at Longstocking Farm I highly recommend it. It is in a serene location amongst orange orchards few minutes outside of Waikerie, a town as beautiful as any in the Riverland. The house is brand new, fully furnished, air-conditioned and has facilities for babies and kids. There's a collection of DVDs, books and games. Linen is supplied as are tea, coffee, cereal, cordial and some other condiments. There is a keypad to unlock the door - no keys to lose. From this base I was able to travel to all the major towns in the Riverland and home again in one afternoon. I would recommend staying longer if you can - spend a day or two exploring the towns, a day or two playing on the Murray and a day or two just at the house soaking up the peace and quiet. Sun streamed into the lounge and master bedroom, keeping them toasty on the chilly mornings when I was there. If you leave the door open in the bathroom you can even shower overlooking the orchards, the sweet smell of orange blossoms drifting in. Being a new house there's not much outside yet, but there is a clothesline and a pit for campfires. It is right next to the Waikerie golf course. The price was good for the standard of accommodation and the owners were lovely to deal with and very helpful. If you want a real holiday 'in the country' you could do much worse than this place - right near the recreational facilities of Waikerie but private and away from traffic and noise. I'll be back!
