Relaxing Stay

4 of 5
We liked the idea of staying in the hinterland and after a long hunt to find somewhere comfortable for 4 adults and 2 young kids to spend a relaxing week in Cairns to celebrate Opa’s (Grandads) 70th, we decided to try Wanggulay Too. We initially wanted to stay at Wanggulay, its sister property which has a pool, but it was not available at that time. We were reassured by Brett that there was no compromise in quality, and he was not wrong. The place was beautiful with a large decked area up high in the treetops, overlooking the river. It was very peaceful, and although it did not have a pool, there were plenty of other things that kept the kids busy, including the ping pong table and the outside bath which was their favourite after a long day sight-seeing with adults. The outside shower was a nice touch too. It was a relaxing property to come back to after short day trips to nearby beaches, waterfalls and Kuranda (the scenic railway is a must!). Thank you Belinda and team for the comfortable stay and making us feel very welcome, and for the bubbly and card for the birthday boy 

Beachcomber - a high quality holiday rental

4 of 5
Have just enjoyed a fantastic two nights at Beachcomber at Port Elliott due mainly to the very high standard of the holiday house, its location, cleanliness and the ocean views, which were much better that we expected. There was not anything that we wanted for in the house and we were impressed with the quality of the furniture and appliances etc. It was a pleasant surprise to find a lounge that was very comfortable; this is something we have found lacking in many other holiday rentals. The complimentary later checkout meant we did not have to rush the morning we left. Will definitely be going back to one of Wendy and Phil's holiday houses.

Fantastic

5 of 5
Our large family group booked a week at both 132 and 134 Melville (held by the same owners). Both homes were presented beautifully. They were spotlessly clean with high quality fixtures and fittings. Top-range amenities and toiletries were supplied in ample quantities. Everything you could need was provided including laundry facilities. We were in walking distance to everything, and on-site parking was great for the area. Read your comprehensive welcome brochure which has some great tips, especially the Hill Street grocer (drive, don't walk, as the "hill" is more like a mountain). The original staircases are charming but deadly for anyone unsure on their feet, even the kids were uncertain for a day or two. A ground floor bedroom is available in 132 Melville. Highly recommend both of these properties.
