About this property

A luxury gated home with stunning gardens and views. Located n the Historic Eastside of Santa Fe, just one block from the Canyon Road Historic Arts District of galleries, boutiques, and restaurants. Within the gated compound of Girard Gardens, the private patio offers lazy days of sun bathing and evenings full of pleasurable al fresco dining.

A stainless steel kitchen is every cook's delight with state of the art appliances. The living room and dining area share the Kiva fireplace with many hours of fun, giggles and laughter and a queen size sleeper sofa. A large open office area is quite accommodating with a comfortable wood desk, fax, internet and telephone and access to the powder room.

Right around the corner is the king guest bedroom with en suite full bath. This bedroom is dedicated to Georgia O'Keefe where she stayed on numerous occasions. The property was owned by Santa Fe developer Alexander Girard, a famous textile designer, prolific folk art collector and supporter. Being a supporter of the arts, Mr. Girard had a special friendship with Ms. O'Keefe and when she visited Mr. Girard and his wife, Susan, stayed in the same bedroom dedicated in her name.

Upstairs, the large master king bedroom with en suite bath, opens to a private balcony with wonderful mountain views encompassing west-north-east views. Sleep late and wake up refreshed to the sounds of nature.

The home also comes with a large laundry room with cabinets and counter space and single car garage. Cable television and wireless internet. Approximately 2300 square feet.

Super convenient

The property was exactly what we were looking for. It was comfortable and convenient. We walked to terrific restaurants and all the galleries on Canyon Road. We would definitely stay there again.

The perfect getaway

This property was absolutely perfect for us! The location made it super easy to walk our dog over to Canyon Road (which we did daily, sometimes twice daily) and the courtyard was private and comfortable. I'm pretty sensitive to noise (traffic, etc.) and this was so calm and quiet. The gardens are stunning and the neighbors who own their units are so sweet. It was nice to have a garage to park the car in and the kitchen is well-stocked with all sorts of gadgets. The laundry room was HUGE and I used it more than I had planned because of its convenience off of the kitchen. Only two real critiques -- the kitchen towels and some of the kitchen gear was on the cheaper side (but I get it - it's a rental) and we did discover a couple dead mice in our courtyard ... something to note/watch out for if you're bringing your fur kid along. I would absolutely stay here again!

A Handsome Home with Private Garden and View

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautifully located just off Canyon Rd, close to several parks for the pup. We loved cooking in the terrific kitchen. The office worked very well. The master upstairs is large and airy with a outstanding view to the north and a huge deck. The guest quarters down was spacious. The home came well equipped with paper products. We spent almost 4 months there and were extremely comfortable. It was hard to leave.

Early morning sunrise views from the upper balcony combine with a beautifully landscaped courtyard and gardens for a variety of outdoor settings, plus the walks to coffee shops, galleries and restaurants keeps one as active as desired. Lovely Santa Fe condo

Beautiful condo, in the best part of town, this is a great place!! Right off Canyon Rd., close to the Plaza, and very private. We loved it, and will return. It was winter—cold and snowy, so the fireplace was very welcome. Plenty of wood, fire starter, etc. a lovely place to relax after crazy holidays!!
