Secluded piece of heaven
We stayed for two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed our little sanctuary in SF! The check in process was easy and communication from the host was super. Her response time and willingness to answer ANY questions truly made us feel as if we weren’t bothering her; she genuinely seemed pleased to be available and make us as comfortable as we could. Her welcome binder was thorough and had a lot of ideas on food, restaurants and things to do in SF. The house is spacious and open plan with plenty of natural light. Having the tv room upstairs was a treat with city views and watching the SF July fog roll in. It is very quiet, so sleeping undisturbed was easy. I found the bed very comfortable. Great location for getting to the east bay, south bay or Marin and further afield (Sonoma, Napa, Muir Woods, etc). Two major highlights of the property is the kitchen and the shower. The shower room is filled with natural light and to see the living succulent and greenery wall while showering is a great way to start your day or end it. The kitchen is a home chefs dream. All open plan with no cupboard doors to open to find things, it really felt as if they kitchen was made for those who truly enjoy cooking. All the crockery is eclectic and adds to the joy of creating. The gas range is great; and we used the kitchen at least once a day every day. Making dinner with the great sound system on, with a glass in wine in hand was a great end to a busy day. We will be back-thx

Absolutely Perfect!
This is a property you need to see in person to truly appreciate. If the online pictures draw you in, you will be blown away when you arrive. Best of all, you have the place all to yourself which is not the norm in this area. Comfy open gathering area when you walk in with access to Sonos sound system so you can listen to all kinds of music. Super comfortable bed in blissfully quiet neighborhood so you are guaranteed to get a quality night's sleep. The view of the city from upstairs loft area is absolutely beautiful. To truly level up the experience though, you have to hop in the hot tub on the back porch area. You will feel like you have been transported to another place! It was so relaxing to just sit with a cocktail in hand and enjoy the view. You will find EVERYTHING you need within a mile from the house (food, drinks, transportation, grocery store, etc.). Just be prepared for a heck of a hike back up when you are ready to return. SF is known for the hills, and the sacrifice you make for the amazing views comes into play here, so make sure you have good walking shoes and your cardio game is strong! The host Rachel is super friendly and was very, very responsive to any inquiries we had throughout our stay. This was everything we were looking for and more. We felt so comfortable it was like home away from home and we will be back.

Outstanding Experience!
This place is truly a gem! Perfect for a couple who wants to stay in SF, beautiful views, outdoor terrace, large kitchen, upstairs sitting area, all great! The location is also great, on a quiet street but within walking distance to shops, coffee, restaurants, etc. The host, Rachel, is extremely accommodating and responsive and is ready to address any question or issue you have. My husband and I throughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

Like you, my husband (Jess) and I (Rachel) enjoy traveling in cities and in natural environments, and creating time to connect with family, friends, and new people along the journey.

We believe that there are experiences in life that are too good to not be shared: a good meal, a sacred space, a home in which to relax. In that spirit, we open our unique homes and their offerings for you to enjoy.

When traveling, at times we find that our only interaction with locals are with the people whoses homes we are staying and at the restaurants we are eating. These ambassordors of place enhance the travel experience. With that in mind, we strive to be ambassadors for you of the places we know and love: San Francisco and the Point Reyes National Seashore.

Bay Area natives, we live in San Francisco and worked as environmental, public art, and tech professionals. We have been playing in SF urban parks and Point Reyes National Seashore since childhood. Jess is a potter (his studio is on the property in Inverness) and has created all of the pottery in our homes.

When we are not in California, we can be found studying and exploring ancient sites and cultures in Greece and Italy.

We love to learn from and share discoveries with others and look forward to sharing a place we love with you.

Why they chose this property

Located in Corona Heights, on a hill between the Castro and Cole Valley, the home and backyard offer scenic views.

Corona Heights is in the very heart of the city. Many of the city’s “must experience” neighborhoods and parks are within walking distance of the home, including the Castro, Mission District, Cole Valley, Haight-Ashbury, as well as Golden Gate Park, Twin Peaks, and Dolores Park.

There is so much going on every day and night of the week if you want within a few blocks from our home. And you return to a romantic home to relax and enjoy in sunny Corona Heights, with a private garden and views of the city and bay.

What makes this property unique

Guests will have access to the 2-story home, backyard and free parking in front of the home. You will have access to room except our personal office and garage.

To give you as much insider guidance as possible, we created a guide that highlights our favorite restaurants, cafes, parks, bars, markets, as well as a guide to help you navigate the art scene (broken down by districts). In addition, as an avid urban hikers, we created a guide of our favorite urban hikes which will introduce you to many of the city's treasurers. This guide is exclusively available to guests upon their arrival. Lots of insider knowledge to ensure you get the most from your visit to the city. A print version of this guide is waiting for you in the home.
