About this property

Journey's End | Private Pool, Theater, Putting Green, Guest House

When it comes to luxury on a grand scale, Journey’s End sets a high bar. For starters, this custom property is actually two homes: a grand main lodge and a just-as-pampering guesthouse just 30 yards away. This setup makes Journey’s Edge ideal for several families or large groups vacationing together.

Then there are the spectacular views. Because Journey’s End is located on the highest point of the Cedar Falls Resort, it looks out onto stunning and unobstructed vistas of the Smoky Mountains. Best of all, it offers plenty of vantage points from which to enjoy them. In addition to the lodge’s huge covered porch framed with stone arches, there are multiple decks and balconies. The main patio features chaises, a dining table and a hot tub in full view of the mountains and the woodlands. A second alfresco dining area nestles beneath a pergola so that you can enjoy your meal in the cool shade. On yet another patio, there’s room for everybody to congregate at night around the gas fire pit. The glow of the flames is an idyllic accompaniment to the chirping of crickets and the hooting of the owls.

You can relish the views from the private outdoor pool as well. Yes, Journey’s End has its own pool! And if that’s still not lavish enough for you, there’s a private putting green too. Just don’t let the spectacular scenery distract you!

The splendor continues indoors. The oversize windows of the main house enable you to relish nature’s grandeur even while you relax among the living room’s supple leather sofas or eat a meal at the dining room’s table, which seats 10. Each of these rooms has its own fireplace to add to the warm, welcoming ambiance.

If you view vacations as a chance to practice your culinary skills, you’d love the main house’s lavish kitchen. Gleaming appliances, top-grade gadgets and sparkling countertops in a spacious open setting make cooking a pleasure. The island doubles as a breakfast bar, with handsome twig-style stools to seat up to four people. What’s more, there’s a large gas grill outside, so that you can cook as well as dine outdoors or in.

After dinner, or any other time, you can kick back and watch a movie in the home theater with surround sound. The eight cinema-style seats are so comfortable, you might want to lounge in them with a book after the film. Journey’s End has a game room too. Choose among shooting pool at the full-size billiard table, playing air hockey or hosting a poker marathon at the large game table. Prefer something even more relaxing? Step inside the home’s private sauna. We told you Journey’s End was luxurious!

Of Journey’s End’s five bedrooms, three are in the main lodge. Each of these includes a lofty king-size bed, a flat-screen TV, exquisite furnishings and views you’ll love waking up to. One of these bedrooms has its own fireplace and direct access to a balcony. Of the two bedrooms in the guesthouse, one includes a king-size bed, while the other features a queen-size bed. In addition, one of the myriad sofas opens into a queen-size bed, so that Journey’s End can sleep 12 people in all.

The guesthouse has its own living room, with ample cushioned seating, a flat-screen TV and a dining table for four. It also has a fully equipped kitchen and a breakfast bar that seats two.

Once you arrive at Journey’s End, you won’t want to leave. But as a bonus, it’s within a half-hour drive of restaurants, shops and the area’s most popular attractions, including the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Dollywood.

If it’s pampering, serenity and outstanding vistas you want, Journey’s End is your dream getaway. Make the dream a reality and book your stay today.

Journeys end
The pictures in the listing are either super old or photoshopped. The pool was so scummy no one in my family even got in it. There is a broken outdoor waterfall that just has stagnant gross algae water which attracts all the mosquitoes. The air hockey is so old the pucks don’t float, can’t play it. The arcade game doesn’t work, and property manager just kept asking us if we plugged it in (which we did) The poker chairs seem so old one is missing a wheel and they other handle broke which was fixed with a nail poking up from the bottom so you have to be careful not to jab yourself. Most things are falling apart. Towel racks completely fell off the walls (2 of them) The light switch for the deck is taped up so the lights come on but that wouldn’t stay on. The handle to the shower was falling off and made it difficult to close without fear of breaking it off. The pots and pans are old and grimy, cooking was rough, the hood to the oven doesn’t work. The oven itself barely heats up. The ice in the fridge doesn’t work, neither does the toaster. The dishwasher you have to be careful to not pull it right out of place, it rocks forward when you load dishes. Mulitiple rooms had appliances that leaked, fridge in main upstairs, laundry room, and something leaking in a closet downstairs. There is a mouse/rat living in the upstairs. Great things: fire pit, movie room, view from the deck, hot tub, sauna. No refund offered, just that work orders were added.

Amazing house with Awesome views
The property was beautiful and our family had a wonderful time. There were a few hitches like the elevator not working and after maintenance came it was still unreliable. Everything in the home was top quality (ie: Viking appliances) but could use some maintenance. The pool and hot tub were great! And our family really enjoyed the firepit. The layout of the house worked perfectly for our family with the guest house for our son’s family with 2 toddlers. Every bedroom has it’s own balcony overlooking the Mountains and every view was breathtaking!! We highly recommend it!

Nothing worked
Many features in this house that was advertised were not working. Was told the pool would be open. Pool was not open. Nothing in the theater room worked. Multiple light switches didn’t work. House needed a lot of up keep that should have been done before we checked in. Also upon check in when everyone was checking out the house we had a snake in the one bathroom. Would not recommend this place

DO NOT BOOK Out dated nothing works properly
We stay at this property early 2023. The property is outdated. The refrigerator in the kitchen did not work. Management brought in a small refrigerator placed in the dining room. The hot water was not working. Maintenance came out attempted to fix the hot water but it was fail. Maintenance ended up having to turn off the main waterline and left us with no water. The property manager had the move us to another property. The new property had to be re-cleaned because the kitchen & living-room floor was dirty and sticky. Never again we will stay here.

Cabin was nice. Accommodations, not so much…
The guest house to the property wasn’t even tended to. Both bedrooms had either the bed look like someone just woke up in it, or the the entire room was still stripped and unattended to. There were still dirty towels on the bathroom floor. The propane guy broke a part, and leaked propane. We didn’t get to enjoy the fire pit, grill, fireplaces, or kitchen stove until the night before we left. The hot tub had little water in it. The pool was filled with pine needles, there was trash around the property, the main fridge didn’t work, and there were even aluminum wrapped baked potatoes in the oven when we arrived. For the price we paid to stay, the quality of management and accommodation was a joke. But the cabin itself without those issues was nice.
