NEW FOR 2022 SEASON - WE HAVE HIGH SPEED INTERNET - FREE. We are listing our cabin for weekly rentals. Just purchased in the fall of 2016, the interior and exterior were recently remodeled. The 2 bedroom 600 square foot cabin is located just 8 miles north of beautiful Park Rapids, MN on Pickerel Lake. The newly updated cabin has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and a screen porch. Pickerel Lake is approximately 300 acres in size with a public access located across the lake from the cabin. Pickerel Lake is known for catching abundant pan fish, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike and some Walleye. There is a dock and boat lift for your fishing boat. Enjoy watching the loons that frequent the bay near the dock. There is a fire pit with a grill top and also a charcoal grill. When you’re not enjoying fishing, swimming and sunbathing, head over to Dorset (5 minute drive) for dinner at the famous Companeros Mexican Restaurant, The Dorset House or La Pasta Italian Eatery. The town of Park Rapids offers shopping, coffee shops, cafes and restaurants. Zorbaz Restaurant is also located within a 10 minute drive. Itasca State Park is located within a 25 minute drive and offers biking, hiking and an on site restaurant. There is also an extensive ATV trail system if you want to bring your ATV. The Heartland bike trail is just minutes from the cabin. Your perfect summer getaway! New lake side deck added in 2020. Sorry due to our insurance and renters with allergies we can not accommodate pets (unless registered service dog by law).

Great weekend retreat!

We stayed here for a fall weekend and it was located perfectly between Lake George and Park Rapids. Nice cabin! Everything was as advertised and only complaint would be bringing dish and hand soap...and the main queen bed is super comfy, but its very noisy! 3rd world problems I suppose, but literally the squeakiest bed. Adjusting during sleep it's like the bed is screaming from giving birth lol! We'd stay here again for sure though! Great location, great cabin!

Quiet location

Perfect home base to enjoy the Heartland bike trail. Everything was as advertised and clean. The reason for the 4 stars overall vs 5 was that towels and paper products were not provided so that was a little bit of a hassle, but would not prevent me from staying here again.

Great get away

The cabin was very clean, a little smaller than I was expecting, but we didn’t spend very much time inside. The lake was great for fishing, weedy, so not the best for swimming, but that might not bother some people. Bathroom is super small and hard for people of height to shower, but we made do.. ha! :) our kids loved the fishing and I loved the hammock and sitting on the deck overlooking the lake with my morning coffee. Overall, it was a great getaway! The only note I would add, is that the listing should state there are NO towels of any kind, hand soap, dish soap, garbage bags or zip lock bags provided.. I do think it would have made a difference in booking only because it’s just more stuff to haul along, not a super big deal but it ended up an issue for us because VRBO failed to send us the email stating that and along with a list of items to bring along.. so we showed up without any of those items… the owner felt bad and was very nice but we ended up having to spend our first evening there running to get all those items.. it ended up working out just fine, thankful for Emmaville Cafe owner, who borrowed us those items to use! So just a heads up! Thank you for opening ur cabin to my family and for a great time away! You have a little piece of heaven on earth!

Cute and clean

Listing was accurate, such a cute cabin! Kids had fun fishing off the dock and swimming with the school of fish that hung out there. Caught some sunnies and bass right off the dock. Public water access was very small; we decided not to unload our pontoon but found plenty to keep us busy.
