Tastefully renovated 3 double bedroom, 2 bathroom cozy fisherman's cottage
Jeff & Julie Faraday
Why Jeff & Julie Faraday chose Milford on Sea
Good friends of ours purchased a second home in Lymington and whilst my husband was helping them with the renovation of their property he went on a bike ride and saw the cottage for sale. It was in need of a complete renovation - perfect project! We were lucky enough to purchase in August 2011 and haven't looked back since. We love Milford-on-Sea and the surrounding area. Everyone who stays leaves heartwarming comments in our guest book about the cottage and the area. You won't be disappointed if you choose to stay at Rosemary Cottage.

Perfect for our family get together
Beautiful property, modern yet classic and perfect location. Parking on the road was easy and no issues finding spaces. We loved how spacious all the bedrooms are, plenty of space for 6 adults and one baby.
The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and we loved the welcome basket!
Great Cottage - lovely location
The cottage was immaculate and we had a wonderful stay.
The location was good for the beach and the village centre but also for lots of attractions in the surrounding area - can't recommend it highly enough.
Thank for you this great review. We are lucky to have a very diligent housekeeper who keeps the cottage spotlessly clean and tidy. Location is fantastic and we are glad that you discovered this. We really appreciate that you would recommend the cottage. Thank you.
Property had everything needed for the 6 of us. Cosy and comfortable. Location was great - walks to the sea and also only a few minutes from several cafes, restaurants and bars.
Thank you for leaving this review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and found it comfortable for 6 people. We are very lucky with the location of the cottage and what there is within walking distance.
Lovely cosy cottage
We had a great stay - the cottage is beautiful. Clearly well looked after and spotlessly clean. All the beds were comfy and bed linen was lovely. Brilliantly equipped kitchen, and thoughtful welcome basket, plus lots of local info. We had a great meal at The Smugglers, highly recommend. Owners are super helpful and we had no issues at all. We are two adults and three kids and the space was plenty big enough for us all to either be together or do our own thing! Will definitely return :-)
Thank you so much for your kind words and lovely review on the Cottage. We are very pleased you had a comfortable stay and found everything you needed. The Smugglers is a great pub and one of many places to eat in the village. We are lucky that the Cottage is ideally located within walking distance to the village and the beach. Is good to hear that you will hopefully return one day. Thanks again.
We absolutely loved the house, the quality is amazing. It’s so tastefully decorated and has everything you could possibly need and it’s so comfortable. It really was home from home and was so cosy when the weather outside was dreadful. The walk to the beach was ‘bracing’ due to the wind and rain but I can imagine on a sunny day that would be great. We still enjoyed watching the kite surfers and the birds. The local pub was friendly with a good atmosphere and delicious food. Thank you for the lovely touches of leaving us some local biscuits and tea & coffee. We would love to come and stay again.
Thank you for your very complimentary review. We are so pleased that you found the cottage comfortably and enjoyed your stay, just sorry the weather wasn't very kind to you. But as you say a good excuse to visit again. Glad too that you made a visit to one of the pubs in the village. All the pubs in and around the village are all wonderful and pleased you enjoyed your time in one them. Thanks again.
Milford on Sea is a picturesque village on the outskirts of the New Forest and is ideally situated just a short walk from the beach and Keyhaven marina where you can enjoy nature reserve walks, the sunsets and spectacular views across the Solent. You will also be able to pay a visit to Hurst Castle which is at the seaward end of the spit. Just a 5 minute walk into the village, you will find the historical village green. In and around the village, there are plenty of shops and you will be spoil for choice with where to go and eat as there are some excellent restaurants, pubs and traditional tea shops and cafés to choose from. There is always plenty to do, this may include you enjoying cliff top and forest walks, bike riding, visiting the local sanding beaches, country rambles, bird watching, sailing, fishing and kite surfing. The village itself has many activities going on during the year which are very popular with the villagers and holidaymakers alike. Beaulieu Motor Museum and Bucklers Hard are among places to visit or a day trip to the Isle of Wight is just a short ferry crossing away from Lymington. Mudeford, Christchurch and Bournemouth are only a short drive away.
