80m2 South-facing Apartment Overlooking Pool And Sea, Sleeps 2-4

The 2 roomed 80m2 apartment (56m2 interior + 24m2 terrace) is situated in the luxurious 'Le Paradise' building, looking directly over the swimming pool, palm trees and the Mediterranean Sea. It is well-appointed with a fully equipped kitchen (including washing machine and dishwasher) a guest toilet with sink, a lounge with lounge suite and fold-out sofa bed, two office spaces, an entertainment centre with 52' flat screen TV and surround sound equipment, a bedroom with a 2nd flat screen TV, a queen-sized bed, and an en suite bathroom complete with bathtub and separate shower. There is a high-speed WIFI Internet connection that is free of charge for limitless usage.

The apartment's best feature is undoubtedly the generously sized covered terrace with gorgeous views, complete with exterior bar, fridge, dining and seating facilities, including a fold-out sofa for those balmy summer nights. The south-facing nature of the apartment acts as a sun trap, and means that even throughout the winter, the terrace is habitable. The unobstructed view means that neighbouring buildings cannot look into the apartment, keeping privacy at an optimum. Occupants of the building have free access to the private pool out front.

Monaco is renowned for its security and the lowest crime rate in the world, allowing one to freely walk or travel with the bus anywhere in the Principality with total peace of mind. Most apartments that advertise with 'Monaco' in the title are only 'near' Monaco and not within the Principality itself, which makes a huge difference. The 'Le Paradise' building itself is in a pedestrian zone.

The residents with cars, park underneath the building accessed from next to the Columbus Hotel on Ave des Papalins.

The Hotel Columbus is close by (50 meters away) yet our apartment is over twice as spacious as a hotel suite, better equipped, and costs a fraction of the price, yet you can still benefit from the facilities like having breakfast (if you don’t feel like making it yourself) or beauty salon or spa treatments and massages (at very competitive rates vis-à-vis the rest of Monaco). The vicinity of the hotel also makes access to taxis very easy and convenient. A bus stop, which is part of the efficient Monaco public transport system is also within 50 meters of the hotel. Fontvieille is also home to the sports stadium, the circus, and a zoo, all within easy walking distance, but not so close that they can be heard from the apartment. A large branch of the supermarket chain Carrefour is also a short walking distance away. Outside the front door is a promenade along the sea front and harbor, with views over the yachts and the prince's palace and cathedral perched up on the cliffs. If one wants to lounge on the beach, snorkel or visit a beachside restaurant, Cap d'Ail beach is a mere 500 meters walk away.

Close to the apartment there are numerous bars and restaurants with plenty of nightlife choice all within short walking distance.

The tap water from the faucets are of a good drinking quality (true for all of Monaco and France) and you should not hesitate to drink or cook with it. However, for those of you who wish your water to be filtered to a much finer degree (down to 1 micron) there is an Akai Activated Ionizing Water System connected to the tap in the kitchen that will also provide ultra-violet screening and alkalinized water.

Great apartment for a holiday in Monaco

We stayed in the apartment with 4 people, 2 adults and 2 kids. The apartment is perfectly located in Fontvieille, with a beautiful huge balcony which has a great view of the sea. Lots of shops and restaurants in easy walking distance but still quiet in the evenings. Yes, there is a helipad nearby and you will hear them on the balcony, much less so in the apartment. But it didn't bother us at all, part of the Monaco charm, and anyway, in the evenings and early mornings they don't fly. The apartment is fully equipped and clean. The owner is very friendly and helpful and gave us an incredible amount of information on the apartment, parking spot, building, pool, the surroundings, places to eat and much more before we even arrived. On arrival he showed us everything we needed and we immediately felt at home. We can only recommend to stay here and would love to return again soon.

Middle age couple from Canada

The view from this condo is spectacular, to watch the yachts go by was amazing. To be in Fountaine away from all the tourist crap is the only way to go while in Monaco. The waterfront restaurants and especially Gerharts was to much fun. The only issue I would have is the bed in the condo was not the best. For myself I go on holidays to rest and when you can't get a good nights sleep makes it a bit of a downer.

Owner's Response: By "Fontaine" my guest means Fontvieille (in case anyone tries to look it up on a map). Pity my guest didn't appreciate the Italian designer bed. It's the first time I've ever heard any negative comment regarding it's comfort. I am a bit of a fussy sleeper myself, which was in fact why I had chosen it; for the comfort! While I appreciate that not everyone has the same taste in mattresses, I wouldn't consider my taste unorthodox in that respect.

Same Time Next Year Please

It's the full 'Five Stars' from my wife and I for this fantasitically located apartment that came exactly as described .

We could rattle on for hours about all the facilities the residence provides , the balcony that makes it almost impossible to go out , the pool that feels part of the property and the view that never stops giving- sun ,sea , sunsets , blue sky , yachts ,yachts , yachts and helicopters. We love the helicopters , gives you a sense of exactly where you are .

The supermarket , just a short walk away takes you past approximately $billion worth of boats and provides the most impressive array of fresh food and great wine. As mentioned it's hard to leave that balcony once you've stocked up .

We will be back and have already told the owner so. On that subject the owner ,Anthony , is a true Gent . Very happy to meet you if he's around and always quick to reply to emails and calls should you need him before during and after your stay.

Can't wait for next year.

Good place, except for the noise

Everything was fine and the owner was particularly helpful throughout. However, I wish I had been informed, (warned, rather) that the flat is right next to the heliport. This means deafening helicopter noise non stop between virtually dawn and sunset. Unless, of course, you are prepared to live behind closed windows, which was not my case. Other than that, the flat is OK.

Owner's Response: It is true the apartment is near, but it's not "right next to" the heliport. The 4 Star Columbus Hotel is closer (as well as a few other apartment blocks in between) and reading the hotel's advertising, they certainly don't feel it necessary to inform or 'warn' their guests. Looking through dozens of the hotel's Internet reviews I could find only one that even bothered to mention the helipad, and that was a 4 out of 5 star review that referred to it in terms of it's convenient proximity. The frequency of helicopters varies, and is very much dependent on specific events in Monaco at certain times of the year. The most extreme example by far is during the Monaco Grand Prix, when there is a constant stream of helicopters flying in and out during daylight hours, but my guests have only expressed how much that contributed to the exciting atmosphere of the place, and that one could spot (with binoculars) the stars, celebrities and racing drivers flying in. The rest of the time It's true that one can sometimes be unlucky with the wind direction carrying sound from the occasional helicopter towards the apartment, but the double glazing is excellent, and if needed, cuts out practically all sound at any time. One is advised not to leave the patio doors open all day and night in summer anyway, as no air-conditioning system can cope with it, and will eventually drip onto the floor and cause stains. Evenings and nights are extremely quiet, as there is no noisy or smelly traffic or roads nearby, only the sound of the sea. Watching the occasional helicopter fly in and out has been described by many of my guests as more interesting than the constant drone of traffic that one hears everywhere else in Monaco. I have lived myself in the apartment for over 24 years, and have completed a lot of productive and creative work there as a professional screenwriter and editor during that time, which certainly wouldn't have been possible had I been subjected to "non-stop deafening noise".

Monaco Paradise

There is a big difference spending time in Monaco while returning to the residence appartement rather than to some hotel. We even used to say "going home" during our 10 days stay. You are on holidays while enjoying all advantages of being home. Description and recommendations of the owner where more than accurate and very detailed, property was clean, there is everything you need. Apartment is perfectly located (walking distance museums, zoo, circus, supermarket, chic restaurants...Fontvielle is definitely a charming area to discover. Concerning the sea view from the apartment, you just never have enough, its stunning! We really felt like to be in Paradise ;-)

Most properties for rent with 'Monaco' in their advert heading are only in fact 'near' Monaco, but this apartment is one of the rare apartments advertised that is actually within the principality itself with all attractions very easily accessible.

'Le Paradise' has a panoramic south-facing view of the sea, with its own private swimming pool, and is a short walk from many bars, cafes and restaurants around the pretty harbour of Fontvieille. Access from Nice airport to within 2 minutes of the apartment is best by helicopter (7mins flight) and is actually cheaper than a taxi for one person!
