One Bed Apartment Sleeps 4

Recommended by the Gibraltar Tourist Board and featured on Britain in the Sun Channel 5 episode 4 this well presented one bedroomed air conditioned apartment is onthe lower level of the complex. Sleeps two in the double bedroom and extra accommodation for up to two guests in the lounge with a double sofa bed. Facilities include, fully fitted kitchen with fridge, microwave, oven & hob. Utility area with washing machine and second fridge with freezer compartment. Fully tiled bathroom with bath and shower and overhead pull out washing line.

Lounge has a double sofa bed, a 32' flat screen TV with sky channels, DVD player,cupboards housing hot water boiler , iron and ironing board, airing maiden, sun loungers. Morning room with table and 4 chairs, internet access and house telephone (incoming calls).Reversible air conditioning unit. Outside private balcony with gated access. Large patio to the side with sun loungers, large umbrella and BBQ area. Private tiered garden. Access to beach via stairs. side and front new awnings for shade.

We have we always wanted to buy a property in Both Worlds as it has many fond memories for us. We lived and worked at Both World in the 1970's when it was a hotel and realised how special the place was, when the opportunity came to purchase we did not hesitate and have loved coming back to our roots.

Why Carol Wilson (Owner) chose Gibraltar

The apartment is situated on the lower level so closer to the beach. It is only one of two units with a terraced garden and private patio. It is gated so private and safe. The views over the med are spectacular with the sunrises you capture the best of the day.Both Worlds is on the quieter side of Gibraltar so this ensures a relaxing stay with the only noise being the gentle lapping of the waves and seagulls passing by.

What makes this apartment unique

Private gated access only to guests. Not overlooked and with a fantastic panoramic view of the med. Self contained with all home comforts.

The Apartment was lovely clean and well presented. We had everything that we could possibly need from kitchen ware to towels and blankets. My partner likes to cook and had no problems finding things to use.

The Balcony was great for morning sun, a good sunbathe before setting off out for the day. We were greeted on the second morning by Ron and his wife who live a couple of doors away and give us some pointers as to where to go etc and they seemed really friendly and welcoming too.

The weather I believe was not as good as it could have been and that did make the sea a bit choppy and loud but we still came away with a tan and has to be said it was a lot better than home.

The Bottle of wine left for us was an unexpected treat and was gratefully accepted.

Overall a great place to stay if you want a quieter relaxing stay as apposed to the stay some of our family had in the ocean village.

Home from Home with added relaxation

Right from the very first contact, the communication with Carol the owner was excellent, it set the bar for the whole experience. The butterflies we had whilst waiting to hear if the booking was accepted were akin to buying a house, the joy when it's accepted is just the same, we had set our hearts on the most beautiful beachfront property in Gibraltar and we where delighted when it was confirmed.

The apartment was right on the beach, away from the road, which is not busy as its the eastern coastal road (Sandy Bay, the quieter side of the island). It had 2 unique features not found in many of the apartments at Both Worlds, one an extra gate for security and a side patio, with awning, sun and dining area and up steps to a Mediterranean garden, Inc garden shed (nice British touch and useful too).

Upon entering you go straight into the morning room/kitchen, it's not massive but it doesn't need to be, it has everything that you have at home, and press, corkscrew and fridge (2 of them - you'll be glad that there are 2 of them) eye level cooker, it's bijoux and it works.

The lounge with sofa bed has many cupboards with even more useful stuff in, plus a larger TV than the bedroom Inc Sky TV, DVD player & radio, again more than enough. A normal sized bathroom, not a tiny one shoehorned in as an afterthought is next, even with a bath, but use the shower as it puts the power in shower, excellent for blasting sand off yourself after a day lounging on the beach.

A well appointed bedroom, with TV and UK channels, wardrobe, bedside tables both sides with plug sockets (ideal for mobile charging), dresser with many drawers.

Outside is the best, the end of terrace terrace is brilliant, perfect for watching the boats in the bay, perfect for sunbathing (not overlooked), perfect for lighting the barbecue and watching the sun go down and the moon come up.

A bus ride into Gib main, the #4 or the #8, plus handy for the nightbus too, the #8a (it terminates at Black Strap Cove a short walk from Both Worlds). In addition to central Gib, there is also a short walk away (10-15 mins) Catalan Bay village, this has another beach, a couple of restaurants and a 4 star hotel.

There is no better holiday than one at Both Worlds, but there is no better apartment than this one at Both Worlds.

It'd a credit to Carol and you will love it, I know we did.

Fantastic apartment in a great area

We were met at the airport and taken to the apartment , it was lovely and clean and had all the mod cons and more . The apartment is only a 10 minute bus journey to the Main Street , which run regularly until late and bus service is very cheap . The beach the apartment is on stayed quiet it was perfect for relaxing and the views are amazing . We will more then likely be staying here again and would recommend to any one .

Great location

The apartment has a great location being right on the beach.You can just walk down a few steps and you are there.We were in Gibraltar the first week of September and the beach had hardly anybody on it most of the time so plenty of room.

The owner is friendly and responsive,and Josie who lives local picked us up and dropped us of at the airport at the beginning and end of holiday,this was a great service for those new to Gibraltar.

A bus that runs about 3 x per hour stops just outside the apartment and is cheap and a great way to get around.(£2.25 all day all round Gib).For those new to Gibraltar there is plenty to do,with the Rock, tunnels, the beach and many places to eat.

The flat is as shown in the pictures and the large side terrace is great to sit and sip a drink or just look out to sea at the ships and dolphins.Most apartments do not have this and as this is a end apartment it is very private.At other apartments people need to walk through their small terrace to get to the beach or their apartment.

I would recommend this apartment if you want a quiet place to stay with a swim outside your door.For more action just get the bus to town.(1 mile)

Pleasant quiet location

The property was accurately described and so exactly matched our expectations. It was well equipped. The property was well located for an excellent beach and was very easy to travel into town. We were well informed and looked after.

We would have no hesitation in recommending this property. For us it gave us a good location to visit all the sites of Gibraltar.

wonderful house.

I have not expected the house is such nice, as the cheap prices. However, once i arrived, everything is perfect. The sea is right below the house. You will find everything you need in the house, not only some essential product, but also some little stuff(e.g. candles, lighter, telescope...). The house owner is very nice as well.All in all, i think it is much better than hotel, and worth to choose.

Everything you need

Thanks for looking after us so well.

Lots of great personal touches in the very well equipped apartment. And what an outlook from the balcony. We personally loved the quieter location. Isolated? Not with a bus stop (and Catalan Bay) minutes away. Besides, we enjoyed the walk into town: mid twenties in October, bliss.

We'd go back again in a heartbeat.

Both Worlds is located on the Mediterranean side of Gibraltar which means you have the sunrise to wake up to. There are four levels leading down to the beach, each level faces the sea with a variety of balconies. Nearby is Catalan Bay a small fishing village with local fish restaurants. Gibraltar is very easy to travel around and there is a good local bus service from the complex every half hour into the town market place and return. Main Street has a variety of duty free shops, restaurants, banks and a post office. There are two marinas Queensway Quay and the new Ocean Village Marina which has a lively atmosphere with a casino, several bars and restaurants. Europa Point is the most southern point in Europe and is located a short ride from Both Worlds. Gibraltar has a British Heritage which goes back hundreds of years and can be seen all over town. You can take a Rock Tour and visit the famous Barbary Apes Den, St Michael's cave and the Tunnels. For the more adventurous there are the Mediterranean steps to climb up to the top of the rock,or take a Dolphin cruise, Tangiers is only a short ferry boat sail away. The Alameda botanical gardens located near the cable car is worth a visit as the flora and fauna are both colourful and plentiful. Gibraltar has something for everyone.

As the property is gated it is suitable for young children. We have a new travel cot purchased Jan 2014 for babies. We do have a booster seat which becomes a high chair.
