About this property

Welcome to the community of Sugarwood Beach, one of the most secluded and peaceful neighborhoods in the Seagrove community. Alas, we can't live in Seagrove full time so we're renting out our home to 30A visitors for portions of the year.

The 2,000 square-foot home sits on a .3 acre wooded lot with seasonal stream (we abut the wetlands) near the end of Wood Beach Drive, on the edge of a cul-de-sac. It's quiet location is a haven during high season, when 30A is in full swing and a bit crowded and noisy. It features a garage, fireplace and a backyard for nature lovers, full of native magnolias, palmettos and bay trees, and it is a Certified Wildlife Habitat. We often sit in the sunroom just to look out on the back yard and have a cup of coffee. The back of the house is all windows. The dining table seats 8, the kitchen counter seats 4 and the game table in the sunroom seats 4 - great if you're hosting dinner. Books and puzzles fill the living room shelving.

Two spacious bedrooms sleep six (one king, one queen,) and there are bunkbeds in the master. 2 sofas in the living room and sunroom. In 2017, we renovated from top to bottom including flooring (wood tile, herringbone carpet), glass pendants over the peninsula in the kitchen and overhead lighting in the living room, and new furnishings. The sunroom is heated and cooled so it's a perfect perch year round for nature watching.

It's a 15 minute walk to the beach and we have dedicated access with bike racks. Beach chairs tend to come and go in our garage, so to be on the safe side, rent or bring your own.

Things to eat while you're in town:
1. Cowgirl Kitchen - in Blue Mountain for breakfast.

2. Cafe 30A - Tuesday is $5 martini night in the bar

3. Edwards in Rosemary Beach - sit at the kitchen bar to watch them do their magic

4. Great Southern in Seaside - great outdoor bar plus Grits a Ya Ya and southern collard green rolls.

5. Black Bear Bakery in Grayton Beach - the Morning Buns are fabulous!

Medicine for the soul

such a wonderful weekend with 3 generations. The house is so close to everything but tucked away from the crowded streets. The sun room was absolutely wonderful. The host was so easy to communicate with. would tell renters to bring there own coffee and shampoo/ soap for showers. we loved our quality time !

Beautiful house, plenty of room

We took a girls trip over the summer and stayed at the house. We were all surprised that the house looked even better in person than it did in the pictures. The house is at the end of the neighborhood but the neighborhood is across the street from a public beach entrance. We all got bikes so the travel to the beach was not an issue. Would recommend!!

Came to stay for a long weekend with my golf buds to celebrate my 60th birthday. We did not play golf in the area, rather instead rode bikes, shopped, beached and ate/drank! The house did not seem 'newly renovated' as described in the marketing, but it was neat and tidy. We had everything we needed for a lovely weekend. Thank you!

Peaceful Getaway Close to Everything

This was the perfect romantic getaway. Tucked back in the trees making it feel secluded yet bikeable to the town and beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommend.

We purchased this house as our retirement home, only one of us isn't old enough to retire yet! So we come and go throughout the year. Home is North Carolina but our hearts are in Seagrove.

This is our second home on 30A. Can't imagine going to any other beach.

Why they chose this property

My husband walked in the door and said to our agent, "Sign me up." He knew this was the one immediately. Open floor plan and nature filled back yard are his kind of paradise!
