The POMO suite is an independent apartment of Villa Lama of Taveri. E 'consists of a double bedroom, a living room with sofa bed. large kitchen, private balcony and bathroom.
The villa has beautiful independent apartments furnished in classic Italian style liberty. Each apartment is equipped with all the necessary comforts for your holiday. The villa will be fully available to you in all its spaces such as the beautiful and large swimming pool which offers a splendid view of the sea. The villa is surrounded by olive trees and areas of Mediterranean vegetation. It 'a great place to find an oasis of relaxation. His position, however, also makes it an excellent destination for those who want to run far and wide Puglia. In fact it is located halfway between the two most important airports and sits next constraints road to reach the sea and the neighboring countries as Monopoli, Ostuni, Alberobello, Polignano.
On the day we arrived we were delayed by a couple of hours and Laura came to meet us at around Midnight at the local petrol station and guided us to the Villa. This was a great help as our Satnav couldn't find the property. The next day we were invited to join her family and friends for lunch. This was an amazing treat. Not only was the food fantastic but we met so many lovely people who gave us all the tips we needed for a great stay. The apartment is charming and property has a real sense of place.
Laura and her family are amazing. We arrived on a Saturday and on Sunday we were invited to join the whole family in their Sunday lunch. So generous and kind, Laura and her brother in law helped us buy mobile internet for our trip (as it wasnt yet installed in the house) and took us for coffee and pastries in town. The flat is beautiful, so italian with a big kitchen, stone floors and wonderful summery decor. You can se a gorgeous sunset from the terrace also overlooking the very large pool. Some of the nicest beaches I've been to are no more than 10-15 min away by car and all the pasta, pizza, gelato and coffee you'll ever need can be found either in Monopoli or in the area surrounding the villa. We made several excursions and found that you can take a day sailing, take a cooking class (ask Laura and she'll help arrange), visit a beach club or go wine tasting. This is truly one of the best area's I've visited in Italy and I cant wait to go back.
Last year when we were at our wits end with the weather in the UK we booked ourselves 3 days in Ostuni and then a week at Laura’s fabulous farm. The welcome was warm and generous, with copious quantities of home grown produce and a wonderful pool. The area is fascinating and unspoilt, and we enjoyed it so much that we have booked again this year but for even longer so that we can discover more.
The terrace is the 'piece de resistance' with far reaching views and from where you can relax with a bottle of wine and a pizza from the local takeaway, and, whilst the kitchen facilities are fairly basic they are quite adequate when you consider that there are so many wonderful eating places nearby. Also, if you don’t like too much solitude then take an iPod – we are going to this year!
Can’t wait to go back!
Rooms are very nice and proper (with a nice batchroom) and with a nice view. Swimming pool is very large and nice with comfortable seats and a places in the shadows. It is strategic because of the nearby freeway and the nearby shopping market and a few restaurant. You can do many trips to nearby beaches and other sigthseeing things. We even went to the most southern part. A very nice place called Santa Maria Di Leuca. We drove back near the coast. Very nice.
What also is very nice is to walk at the propierty. It is very large with horses and very old olive trees. They are 500+ years old. You can also do a tour with co-owner Laura at the olive farm. Also very nice.
Only the large suite is suitable for 'real cooking'. The other rooms have a kitchen in a cabinet. So that is not suitable to cook a dinner and has a mini fridge. In our case that was no poblem because we could use the 'big' kitchen and the big fridge and downstairs.
We hope to stay ther again.
Insgesamt: Wir kommen gerne nochmal wieder !
Our ancient Villa is located on a typical natural cavity of the Apulian territory called Lama. It 'located a few hundred meters from the main road but its elevated position makes it an ideal place to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside, rich with olive trees and Mediterranean vegetation.
From the house you can enjoy the view of the nearby hills and the sea is only 2 km.
The location is perfect for easy access to the most beautiful villages in Apulia as Ostuni, the white city (30 km), Alberobello (20 km), Polignano a Mare (16 km), Cisternino (25 km).
And 'it equidistant from the two main airports in the region: Brindisi (62 km) Bari (65 km).
