This is a wonderful mountain cabin located 5 minutes off the southern Yosemite highway and 15 minutes from the Sierra National Forest and Nelder Grove of the Giant Redwoods. This chalet is freshly remodeled with everything brand new inside. King beds in all rooms with new granite and stainless appliances in the kitchen. New wood stove, new modern bathrooms new decks and brand new hot tub. The chalet is right off the road to Nelder Grove and the shadow of the giants trail. With its perfect location for visiting the Yosemite area you can enjoy the cozy upscale interior and the charming architecture of this attractive chalet. Wildlife is all around this neighborhood which is nestled up to the Sierra national forest and the southern boundary of Yosemite National Park. Deer frequent this neighborhood year around and can be frequently seen munching grass in the front yard while you enjoy a nice cup off coffee on the deck. With its unique hill top location a nice breeze blows through keeping the cabin pine fresh and cool in the summer. Just minutes away from Bass Lake, Nelder Grove, The South Gate and town the chalets location is perfect for all your vacation needs. Unwind in the hot tub after a nice day of hiking through the redwoods and watch the sun go down between the pines from the deck. An Extensive book and video library is at your fingertips. Family-friendly, quiet cabin with an open and spacious backyard. It takes about twenty minutes to drive to the south entrance to Yosemite. The manager is very nice and provides very useful travel information. We enjoyed our stay.

Pleasant stay

Great cozy cabin with amazing views. Cool mountain air made for very comfortable sleeping temperature at night. Spotted some wild deer and quail walking through the property. Very quiet and peaceful community. Just a short 8 min drive into town.

Great for a family getaway

The chalet was clean, cozy - the beds were very comfortable and I am NEVER able to sleep well on vacation. It was so wonderful to sleep so well. We were very happy that this home was close to both the train ride that we went on and a really nice little trail nearby that had the most beautiful little lagoon. My little one had a blast playing there for over an hour like it was her own little beach. The trip to Yosemite was longer than anticipated, but that's because the entrance is about an hour or so from the actual village and I just wasn't aware of that. It was a beautiful drive though - except for the turns without guardrails and steep drops. I had a few heart attacks. Grocery store is close by and it was a safe location for sure. We saw deer and watched meteor showers in the hot tub. Made some fantastic memories and got some gorgeous photos!! Thanks so much for allowing us to stay :)

Great place for family vacation

The Redwood Chalet is beautiful 2-story house near the Sierra National Forest. I did indeed see a deer one evening in the long driveway. We were on vacation with our dog, and explored the beautiful Lewis Creek trail accessible only a few miles from the Chalet. The location is also close to the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad and restaurants/groceries in Oakhurst. The Chalet has good air conditioning that kept us cool in the heat of the summer. The kitchen and TVs worked well. The grounds were well kept. We felt welcomed by the property manager, who was eager to help if we had questions.
