A beautiful, carefully tended and loved home

  • 4 of 5

The home is quite lovely, the location is also wonderful. Communication with owner was superb. One of the bedrooms was difficult to keep warm at night and a few basics like sufficient towels and TP were overlooked, but overall the home was a hit with our fairly large group (6adults 5kids/babies) Would definitely return.

Owner's Response: We are so glad you enjoyed your time in Vermont this winter. Indeed the lower master bedroom is cooler than the others in the house, I hope you found the portable slim-line electric space heater in the closet, it helps a great deal to make the room more comfortable during those nights that get below freezing. We usually stock a dozen or so towels in the cabin, we were surprised when you didn't find them all, but will look into that next time we are up. My housekeeper stocks the paper products, she may have overlooked restocking the TP, our apologies for that. We love our home, its a quiet retreat from the busy day-to-day life we lead and so glad you enjoyed it.

Winter weekend

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was perfect for a relaxing long weekend in front of a fireplace with friends. There was plenty of room to fit our group of 9, and we loved cooking in the absolutely beautiful kitchen. Highly recommended.

Easter Weekend

  • 5 of 5

OMG where do I start. My family and I had a very enjoyable weekend at the Bushing Log Cabin. There was my mother, husband, our 5 grown children and our granddaughter. It is spacious, relaxing, and cozy (due to the ambiance). We really felt at home here. Any questions were answered in a timely manner by the owner. The pictures do not do it justice. It was so nice for them to open their home to us. They provided us all the necessary information before our arrival about the cabin that it didn't take long before we knew what we had to do to get around the house and its surroundings. The Bushings provided all the comforts of home for you that all you need to bring are your personal clothing, toiletries and food. The kitchen is a dream. The location is private yet easy to get to Quechee, White River Junction, and New Hampshire. I truly look forward to staying there again. I have recommended it several of my friends. I can’t wait to see what other improvements are made to the cabin.
