End of season stay
This log cabin and the view are incredible, you can not get a better view of the kokanee glacier, unless you were on it. Please note we have stayed in vrbo rentals all over the world. The cabin did come with a lot of challenges and unfortunately these challenges could have been solved by some simple maintenance. We had planned for a group of 11 people, and thankfully we only ended up with a group of 5 people. 2 of the 5 burners on the kitchen stove did not work, only one of two of the bbqs worked, but it was so dirty the propane barely flowed. The owners knew ahead of time my plan was to cook and entertain this group for 8 days and did not mention the cooking problems, yet they were aware of them. The doors handles to the kitchen deck fell off when used. There was not a set of 12 wine glasses, the dinnerware and cookware that is there unfortunately is really terrible, mostly chipped or cracked and the kitchen basics, if there were not great. There are 2 kitchens and a bar, yet there were no corkscrews at all (we did leave one). There was no where near enough towels for a 8 day stay, especially with a hot tub. Basic supplies such as toilet paper, paper towel and garbage bags we had to go buy as there was no extra. If you are staying in the fall you should also be aware of the bugs that can clearly get into a log cabin, the top level, two end bedrooms that contain 5 beds could not have been used due to the bug issue, we are from the area and know the bugs are not dangerous, but we would not have put people in those rooms for any reason, even with that knowledge. I know this place could be amazing, but it definitely needs some upgrades and work.

Just sayin’
Overall the house was lovely. We felt that it could have been maintained a little better. We had problems with doors, windows and some appliances.

Exactly what we needed
We spent one week at the property and it was exactly what our family (grandparents and two families with children 10 to 16) needed. The house was big enough so that we were together but everybody had privacy when they needed it. The property was located in a beautiful private spot overlooking the lake and Kokanee glacier. It was a short walk to a small beach with a dock, where we spent most of the time swimming, cayaking, paddleboarding and just having fun. Most of the time it was just us on the dock. The house was very close to Crowford Bay if you needed groceries or just went for breakfast to a local bakery (excellent). The ferry terminal was also just 10 minutes away. It was definitely a memorable holiday for all of us.

June stay
Pictures did not do the lodge justice, definitely spacious and nice throughout. Our host was very accommodating and had constant communication for any needs or issues we encountered. Greatly enjoyed our stay and hop to book again in the future.

Peaceful stay
The property is very beautiful and accommodated our large family. We enjoyed using the dock area to swim, kayak and paddle board. There is lots of golfing opportunities and Crawford Bay was a pleasant surprise. It was a very peaceful and scenic vacation.
