This two-level condo sits in the mountains just 18 miles north of downtown Durango, offering a cool respite in the summer and a skier's wonderland each winter. Here in San Juan National Forest, you'll be only four miles south of canoeing, kayaking, and fishing at Electra Lake, and eight miles south of the slopes and lifts of Purgatory Resort.

You'll feel relaxed and at ease as soon as you enter the living space, where floor-to-ceiling windows frame views of the surrounding woodlands. Leave your hiking shoes or ski boots in the entryway closet, settle in on the plush sofa and armchairs, and flip on the stereo system as you make yourself at home.

In the sunny summer months, you can open the sliding glass doors to relax with a novel or a newspaper on the private deck. Come wintertime, you can cozy up with your loved ones, watch Blu-ray and cable favorites on the flatscreen TV, and use the provided WiFi to post photos and monitor the mountain conditions. You'll also enjoy access to the Glacier Club on the world-class Valley course (ideally 30 days in advance).

Prepare homemade dinners with friends and family in the full kitchen, where you'll find basic appliances, a three-person bar counter for your helpers, and even a dishwasher to take care of the cleanup. Sit down to eat in the open dining area for four, and bring your coffee and hot chocolate outside to the deck.

With a king bedroom, a queen size murphy bed in the living room, and two full bathrooms, this condo will accommodate four guests. Ascend the spiral staircase to reach the light-filled master suite, an open loft-style space with a king-size bed, an office nook, a flatscreen TV, and a bathroom with a tub/shower combination. Back on the main floor, you'll find a comfortable queen-size Murphy bed in the living space and a second bathroom with a tub/shower combination.

Come wintertime, Purgatory offers 1,525 skiable acres, five terrain parks, and 94 trails that accommodate beginners (20 percent), intermediate-level skiers (45 percent), and experts (35 percent) alike.

In the sparkling summer months, you can ride Purgatory's Alpine Slide or zipline, test your skills on the ropes course, or launch a boat on the scenic shores of Electra Lake. Head into downtown Durango for the day to ride bikes along the Animas River or peruse the many charming shops, restaurants, and galleries.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
