About this property

Hidden Gem in Quiet Town Home Community

This hidden gem is in a quiet town home community in Northwest Tucson, the perfect place to relax after busy days exploring all Tucson has to offer. Stays over 3 weeks include cleaning, because who wants to scrub toilets while on vacation! We also run an ozone generator between guests.
It includes a private, furnished patio for enjoying the beautiful Arizona evenings. You will have easy access to Interstate 10, downtown and the University of Arizona. This is the perfect spot from which to head out to one of many beautiful hiking trails around Tucson or to the annual Gem and Mineral Show or the Festival of Books or a sports event at UArizona.
The finer details make our property special: HBO, ice maker and filtered water in the fridge, ceiling fans and sky lights in most rooms, spacious modern kitchen, covered patios front and back.

Requires Attention
Convenient location. However, other than the beds, needs a thorough clean-out of old, mismatched "thrift shop" furniture, glassware, plates (etc.), silverware, cutlery; copious (dusty, depressing) plastic plants/flowers; and general old junk stored in closets, pantry, and kitchen drawers. At least 3, aged venetian blinds were broken and needed replacement. However, the non- functioning clothes dryer was replaced during our stay. Kitchen appliances, while still functional, appeared rather shabby and well past their use-by date. To us, the overall impression was that of staying in a recently deceased grandparent's house, the maintenance of which arrested in the late1970's.

nice place with only one issue
My friend and I stayed in this condo for one week. It is a very nice and clean condo in a great location. We found the condo very well equipped and supplied with just about anything you might need. It was great except the front door is very difficult to unlock. We struggled and had to call the owner to help us unlock the door when we arrived. It was a pain every time we returned to the condo. A smart lock would be a great improvement.

About the host

Hosted by Rosemary Beck

Host profile image
Jon and Rosemary are active retirees. We enjoy SCUBA diving and hiking around the world. We have lived in Tucson most of our lives, leaving for college, but returning to raise our own family here. Rosemary is a retired teacher, who joined Jon's business after her teaching career. Jon has been an entrepreneur for most of his working life. We sold our business in 2014 and began our retirement. Along with our adult children we manage several types of properties in Tucson. We live close to this property and are available to help make your stay a most enjoyable one.

Why they chose this property

We own other condos in the Villa la Estella community and know the community well. The community is quiet, safe and well managed. The year round residents are friendly and non-intrusive.

What makes this property unique

The location of this condo is tremendous. It is just off Oracle Road, which is a main artery in the area. However, it is also far enough toward the back of the community so that there is no traffic noise. Using Oracle Road, you can easily navigate to downtown, the University of Arizona, Catalina State Park, numerous restaurants, hiking trails and I-10.
