The village of Sherwood is located on Harris Creek. The cottage, at 21902 Sherwood Landing Rd., is a perfect place to relax. The surrounding countryside can be enjoyed on foot or bicycle. The two story cottage was built in the late 1890's by Capt. John T. Landon, a boat builder of skipjacks and log canoes.
The cottage has two bedrooms, one with an adjoining sitting room. Living room with fireplace and connecting deck. There is a dining room with a fully equipped kitchen and laundry room. Air conditioned. All linens are supplied.
The village is three miles from Tilghman Island . Where the newly opened Waterman's
Museum is located. Lots of local color at the active waterman,s basin near the Phillips Wharf Environmental Center.
St. Michaels is eight miles away with St. Michaels Museum, Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, and the newly opened Antique Car Museum. The great variety of shops and multiple choices of cuisine in the restaurants.
Or you could stay in the village and enjoy kayaking in Harris Creek assessable from the community dock. Upon your return you could walk across Route 33 and visit Lowe's Wharf Marina to enjoy refreshments and watch the sunset on the Chesapeake Bay. No charge for the sunset.
