Wonderful Beach get away

Condo perfectly situated to heated pool and secluded beach. Amenities in kitchen and bedrooms are beyond expectations. Owners are friendly and responsive to any questions or concerns. Best VRBO we’ve ever stayed in. Thank you Steve and Diane.

Could not have asked for a better rental experience.

From beginning to end this condo was perfect. I was traveling for work and not only was this condo cheaper than staying in a hotel, it provided all the essential amenities that a hotel does not. It’s location could not be any closer to the beach which was awesome to say the least. The kitchen was fully stocked, as was the rest of the condo, and everything was immaculate. The beds are comfy, the Internet is blazing fast, and the neighbors are quiet. I didn’t realize before arriving that it is located within a gated complex which provided me with piece of mind. As for the owners I cannot say enough how great they both were. They worked with me to get my payment figured out and were always a phone call or text away should I have needed anything. They were both so nice and easy to talk to. 10/10 would stay again.

The perfect home away from home

Me and four other students from Germany stayed in the beach condo at Surfside for 4 months during our semester abroad and what can I say, it was more than perfect. Being over 5,ooo miles away from home is obviously scary and a difficult step but thanks to Steve and his beautiful beach apartment our stay was the most memorable time of our lives and we felt 100% at home. I mean, how can you not enjoy yourself whilst looking out onto the beach and the ocean right from your balcony? The property was absolutely clean and decorated and mobilized modernly and you clearly see that the owners put a lot of effort into the apartment to create a wonderful atmosphere for their customers. Furthermore, literally everything one needs was included (e.g. towels, coffee machine, pans, flatware, etc.) which was obviously a big relief for us as you really don’t want to bring household goods with you when you come all the way from Europe. Another very positive aspect about the condo is not only the beach as your front garden but also the two pool areas which we used pretty much every day, you will never get bored! In case you aren’t a fan of chilling by the pool and getting yourself a little sunburn (like we did in the beginning, use more sunscreen than we did!) Port Hueneme is located just at the end of Oxnard which offers many restaurants, cinemas, a beautiful harbor and a fast transition to Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. After spending 4 months in California and the beach condo we can definitely say that it was an experience that we will never forget and that we are incredibly happy to know that we now have another home on the other side of the world. Whenever we needed something (regarding the condo or just general things about Oxnard and living in America) we always knew that we could ask Steve who was an amazing owner and always helped us out. I would 100% recommend the apartment to a friend and to everyone on this platform who is reading this, you can’t do anything wrong! Looking back we definitely hope that we will return to California in a few years and we would love to stay in the Surfside condo again.

Why they chose this property

This is a hidden gem in Southern California. You get million dollar views and beach front location without spending a fortune. We love the uncrowded quiet beach and have spent hours on the patio soaking in the views of surfers challenging the waves, and boats sailing by. Listening to the waves and watching the birds is very relaxing.

What makes this property unique

You can take walks on the beach along the water with very few people in sight. The beach is secluded by the commercial port and naval base on one side, and the bird sanctuary on the other. It's like having your own private beach without the private beach price, of course!
