Traumhafte Unterkunft

  • 5 of 5

Il Melograno is a seperate house set within the grounds of a beautiful farmhouse. It is a newly built property and is immaculate inside and out. The shared pool is a wonderful addition and has beautiful views across the typically tuscan landscape.

Emanuela was the perfect host and had lots of useful information on hand, and homemade wine and limoncello!!. We arrived during local festivals and were pointed in the right directions to enjoy these. Our final night involved eating pizza from a travelling pizza oven in the neighbouring village street party - so friendly! Radicondoli is a tiny town but so well provided for. The facilities include bars, restaurants and shops. It is quite a 'trek' to the centre but well worth it.

The only draw back was no air conditioning or fans in the house but we were well assured that we wouldn't be bothered by insects if we were to leave our windows open to create a through draft.

We would definitely recommend a visit - wonderful.

Un endroit délicieux !

  • 5 of 5

Modern comfortable farmhouse with fantastic views

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful home in eco-style ! Only natural materials are used - wood, stone, cotton, linen. No plastic. All furniture and tasteful decor assembled specifically for this apartments. A neutral palette, carved wooden lamps, bedrest and and cabinets.

Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need.

Very clean and bright apartment with postcard-like views since the house is located on a hill You wake up to a magical landscape outside your window.

Even though the apartment is on the ground floor of the ouse (owners live above), we absolutely did not mind and never were aware of it. You get a separate entrance and nothing will disturb your privacy!

The garden and surroundings are also gorgeous ! All around the olive groves and vineyards !

We'd like to extend special thanks to the super-welcoming host & owner Emanuele.

On our arrival, we were given a complimentary shopping cart full of products with everything you need for breakfast !

And the next day Emanuella came by and gave us some of the fresh bread she had just baked herself ! And our 1yr old tike was given a bunch of toys , children's cutlery and cozy crib with a comfortable mattress and great linens.

I'd like to note that the mattresses and pillows in the adult bed were also very comfortable and we really enjoyed our sleep!

This is a perfect place for those looking for a quiet countryside in a house with modern amenities and the opportunity to visit plenty of beautiful Tuscan sights!

We liked it so much that we extended our stay by a few days and will be definitely coming back next year!

Amazing Tuscan Dreams Realized!

  • 5 of 5

Just Wonderful! Emanuela & Lucca & their son Matteo warmly welcomed us & showed us to our own house, il melograno. It is a new and immaculate & beautifully built stone home all to yourself. Emanuela had a bottle of champagne waiting for us as it was our anniversary, so sweet. They are so generous and kind & helpful in every respect. Helping us at the post office & bank, and providing maps & restaurant suggestions as well as directions. They are lovely people! We felt relaxed from the moment we arrived. The view is unreal. We sat under our own pergola & enjoyed local cheeses & salami & tomatoes & basil & wines! It was the perfect location to visit other medieval hilltop towns like Volterra my favorite & Monteriggioni my husbands favorites, where we actually had one of the best meals in the towns Piazza. But we loved the town our house was located in, Radicondoli, which was quaint & had 3 wonderful restaurants. Agriteca was our favorite, the food & people are devine! We went 3 times! La Pergola has an amazing view and the food is good, but smokers made it unpleasant. Il Nationale is more relaxed and bar-like & food was just ok, but sitting outside on the street at night was romantic & fun & they gave us a Limoncello at the end of our meal just because. We loved the wine at dinner & our waitress Francesca happened to be the vintners daughter! Where else does that happen but Tuscany?! So we went the next day to Podere La Fonte Winery, owned by her mother & father & bought more. The people of the town are wonderful in every respect. Were trying to plan to go again next year! Best trip of our lives!

Farm 1km from the center of Radicondoli, medieval village overlooking woodland and unspoilt countryside, is a part of the world magically preserved rich in history and traditions.

Among Maremma and lands of Siena, the geographical position is strategic for those who want to know and master the history, art and culture of Tuscany, and for those who want to get lost in unknown nature trails.
