About this property

Ocean’s Edge was built by the present owners in 2006, in a traditional seaside chalet style, using Cornish granite, timber and natural slate. The chalet was also designed by them to maximise the stunning location and views.
Set on the coastal path, in the quieter side of Portreath, the area being locally known as Smugglers Cove or Amy’s side, it is ideal for couples wanting a romantic escape or for a family beach holiday, where you can leave your car and relax, as the beach is literally a stone’s throw from the property.

Lovely

The property was lovely, very clean and well equipped. The easy access to the beach and shops was perfect. Access to the property was ok but it is up a hill on an extremely narrow road (width of an Amazon van which managed to drive up and down!)and you have to go down to the bottom, the other side, to turn round before you can drive out, not for the faint hearted! BUT I would still recommend it especially if you have children as the beach is a very short stroll away and it's lovely and sandy.

Beautiful house, beautiful location

We had a lovely couple of days staying at ocean edge, the house is equipped with everything you need and the views from the windows down onto the bay are just breathtaking! The house is situated in a beautiful location and Charlotte was a friendly and efficient host!

Wonderful is the best way to describe it

We had a thoroughly fabulous holiday - for location and setting we could almost have been in the Maldives. Stunning countryside for superb walks with the stupendous power of the sea rolling in creating an awesome back drop. Charlotte is a very attentive host and is concerned that everything is right and she is always at hand. Ocean's Edge is just as described and is cosseting yet spacious and of course, very comfortable with all the facilities one could need. The one big spoiler though was that we had to return to the real world! Paul and Bridge

As soon as you step into the property you will see for yourself, it doesn't need to be sold!

But as a little teaser, try to imagine dolphin watching from your bed, watching the surfers glide across the waves, sipping Champagne on the terrace whist watching the tide come in, walking 150m down the path to the local restaurants and pubs for dinner, or snuggling up in the master bedroom with the patio doors open, reading a novel and inhaling the fresh sea air...

Romance, luxury, elegance, and character are all combined beautifully in our seaside retreat.
