The peaceful apartment has two modern, well equipped Bedrooms with hard wood floors. Windows have locking facility. The main lights on dimmer switches, give lighting choice. Each radiator has thermostat heat control. Bedroom one has a large double bed, Wardrobe cupboard and bedside table with a lamp. The curtains are fully lined with cord pulls at the side. Bedroom two is flexible, with 2 standard single beds, which are designed to convert to a large double, bed-side table with reading lamp.Wardrobe and a cupboard gives good clothes storage. There is also a Storage cupboard in this bedroom. We supply a Travel cot and High chair free of charge. The lounge has a double Sofa Bed, which can easily sleep two adults. Both bedrooms are wheelchair accessible, and have room for a hoist if required. All linen and towels are provided free of charge

Caton a North Lancashire thriving village, 2 miles from the M6 motorway, junction 34; has useful shops and 3 pubs set in the picturesque Lune valley; an ideal base for walking, cycling, wheelchair users will be happy as there are many flat cycle paths.
The Quarters, is situated on the edge of the Forest of Bowland, a tranquil moorland gem, with the unspoiled River Lune, this is a good bird watching area.
Historic Lancaster, with a magnificent castle is 10mins by car, or cycle or walk the attractive cycle path (Flat!) ideal for Wheelchair users, or pushchairs.
Turner painted the scene at the Lancashire beauty spot of 'The-Crook-of-Lune', a 10 min stroll along the cycle path. Lancaster and Cumbria Universities are six miles away. Caton is centrally located for The lake district (Lake Windermere), 40min,Yorkshire Dales, 30 min, renowned climbing and walking, with show caves. Blackpool is 40min drive, Manchester 1 hr. Scottish border is 1hr.
Lancaster has an enormous well stocked antiques centre, the Grand theatre, the Dukes have a varied cinema and drama programme, or if you are here in October there is a large weekend long music festival. Music and the arts feature heavily in Lancaster and Morecambe all year.
Plenty to do for families locally; have a go at fly fishing, take a tour of the magnificent Lancaster Castle, where there are frequent special events, visit the Butterfly house, and climb Ashton ,memorial for spectacular views at Williamsons park,
In the evening enjoy a choice of 3 pubs, serving food, sample the wonderful Chinese takeaway, or stay in and use the well stocked kitchen for cooking up a culinary delight ! Try something different, fly fishing centre is in the village.

Ray and Sue have lived in Caton for 17 yrs, and saw the exciting potential when purchasing the property which is now, The Quarters ! Ray is originally from Manchester, Sue has moved around more, but also originates from the North of England. Our love of the north is clearly demonstrated by the number of maps and books which we have for guests to borrow; we are both keen walkers, and can assist with walks of different levels, and some beautiful vistas await you, We both work part time, so have plenty of time to ensure that the apartment is spick and span for your arrival. Rays background is in teaching, Sue has a Learning disability nursing background, and has a lot of experience working with people with an ASC.

Extra width doors, all sockets and switches at a metre high, and an excellent bathroom which is spacious and cosy, show a subtle but effective specification for wheelchair users. The huge windows were retained making a light airy, and comfortable holiday apartment, complimented by a private garden with a stream flowing down the side, ideal for relaxing or entertaining. The Quarters is unique due to its fantastic accessibility specification, and we also accept pets happily at no extra charge. In a central but tranquil village location, down a quiet lane with a garden with a stream, and no parking issues- we have a large private carpark. The lune valley in which the Quarters is situated is flat, with good cycle paths which take you to Lancaster, and beyond to Glasson dock, or Morecambe, completely off road. Sue and Ray live close by ! You need another casserole dish ? You will have one immediately. Its situation close to Lancaster gives amazing transport possibilities- there are trains from Lancaster directly to Manchester airport; the Quarters is only five minutes from Junction 34 of the M6, making it a lovely base for friends and family reunions. This is an unspoilt area of great diversity, City, Coast, and Countryside, its all here !
